What I'm about to say might be really unpopular, but I wish that Adam fans didn't invade the Queen fanboard and start on their spiel. Its annoying and embarrassing. For once I want a discussion abt Adam be organic and left them discover the joys of Adam, instead of being bombarded with how Adam is the greatest singer etc. Ugh. Oh god, I totally agree! I die a little every time I see an obvious Lambert fan posting on another musicians/fanboard. gives serious second hand embarrassment that's for sure. I don't get how they don't understand what a turn off that is to others'. |

Who knew? Adam was exciting, dynamic, HBIC last night and that’s the only way you can succeed when you’re fronting Queen. It did give me a chuckle when he was directing the techs on sound issues. That is what makes him so special - the voice combined with knowing what he wants and how to get it. Not being intimidated and taking full responsibility- not credit- for the performance is vital. As I was critiquing the vocals my wife was drooling over the boots and jacket. She’s usually more sophisticated than that, but she’s allowed a lapse once in a while. Really, $3500 for the jacket, Really? That’s okay, one man’s jacket is another man’s Harley. And THAT'S why Adam can't get a dog.  Can you imagine? What the heck do you do when the puppy starts happily chewing on a $3500 trench?!!  (and you know it will - its what puppies do!!) |

I would love to know how much rehearsal that Adam did with Queen before their performance. He arrived just a couple of days before the show...do you think the two EMA stage rehearsals were all they did to prepare for this? Because that was one fantastic performance!! I've been wondering too. I'm paraphrasing and I'm senile enough to forget the occasion, I kinda recall Adam telling Seacrest during one of his Idol interviews that he would practise and practise until he got the sound he wanted. So I would imagine besides the 2 stage rehearsals he would have been doing his own practices, and memorizing the lyrics till he met his own high standards! Yes what an epic performance! |

---and we should squee because for so long Queen insisted on always being Queen + <insert singers name here>--but that night they were just Queen. That's kind of a big deal and very complimentary to Adam. Never realised that before Chunkey, totally agree, that really does put the icing on the cake. (Not too English to understand here I hope  ) |

Don't know if you guys outside of Europe can watch this but the mtv ema website already has videos of the entire show online, including Queen and Adam and they're really good quality. tv.mtvema.com/video (they divided it in 2 videos though, one for "The Show Must Go On" and another for the rest) Can't see it  "Copyright restrict us from playing this video in your country" I clicked on it a few times and was able to see the first song only. |
