outmagazine Out Magazine Adam Revisited: Adam Lambert tells editor in chief Aaron Hicklin what he's learned in the two years since he app... bit.ly/vSa7ES3 minutes ago Adam talked to AARON HICKLIN AGAIN ??!!??!!??!! ETA: OK, just read the whole article twice. I think Hicklin came as close to saying, "I am sorry" as he can. He does outright admit the open letter to Adam was a mistake and he should have talked to Adam in person. Guess I'll give him a 2nd chance. But he is on thin ice!! Adam is so gracious! I don't think I would ever talk to this man again or be so "understanding" and "all's fair" with him. He amazes me both professionally and personally almost every single day!

Adam OUT photo... I don't know... I guess it works.... since its a version of the famous Warhol Elvis pop art.... The red shirt and red lips are just too ... well ... ahhh... too red ? It wouldn't be Andy Warhol without bizarre colors that pop. I would dislike this photo on many levels if it weren't a recreation, but since it is, I can appreciate its artistry.

WHOA. That Out magazine interview is...outstanding.
Not only in his ability to put the past behind him and not hold a grudge, but also the interview really offers a glimpse into his thought processes for this second album, and it's so damn interesting and profound.
Based on other snippets of interviews, I knew he changed direction at some point with his album. Wasn't sure whether the label made him do it or it was his idea. And clearly, it was his idea.
F*&%ing hell, I really really hope this second album is REALLY GOOD cause I don't think I'll be able to stand another round of him not having the absolutely mind-blowing success he deserves.

I picked out this little bit: Q - Which is what kind of music? "Dance music! My challenge was, how do I make dance music authentic to what I’m capable of vocally and what I do." I love actually hearing him acknowledge his own talent. (I think it may be the first time).

Okay I've read it. I forgive the dickwad, since he has eaten crow. He admits he was wrong and that he should have talked to Adam personally (ya think, moron?-- Oh, sorry, I'm forgiving him).
And Adam, as usual, is the biggest person in the room-- in character. He puts holds o grudges. Why should I?
Adam, I respect you so much. This is just the latest example of why.
Also.. there's some really good stuff about his music in that interview.
"For you, when you’re writing a song does it come from personal experience?
Adam--Well, the majority of the music on this second album I have written. There are a couple songs written by other writers, but for me to sing a song that I didn’t write, it has to be something that I can relate to personally, 100%. So when I get in the booth and I sing it, it’s coming from the most real place possible. It’s funny, when I started the writing process I felt totally exhausted. It’s like a decompression that happens after you’re on the road so long. Real life feels so foreign and bizarre, and I was actually a little bit depressed when I first came back because I just didn’t know what to do with myself. I felt a little bit lonely and I was trying to get back into my friendships but it felt like I had been gone for so long, it was strange. And I was trying to get over a couple of failed dating situations that didn’t go so well."

2. A guy I’ve known since he was 22 and who has been a sound editor in Hollywood for 24 years, consequently is a music freak. We reconnected a year or so ago and he turned the subject to music and a few jazz musicians we had gone to see long time ago. He’s still heavily into jazz and actually said, “What?! Really?!” when I mentioned Adam. This morning: “Since I’m a typical guy I hate to admit I’m wrong but that boy can sing. Will he be fronting Queen now? That would be a whole new start for them.... the boy has balls, saw him interacting with sound tech. Guess he’s not new at this.”Ha - I noticed that too but didn't know why. It's around the 3:03 mark, in between songs 1 and 2. BB's always trying to get things more perfect than perfect.
