Question, isn't the basis of funk music, lies in the experimentation and beat of the bass guitar? And if that's the case Adam is going to probably need to get a really good bass player/rhythm guitarist.

As many have said, 75K in damages is nothing. And if you're running $650 an hour in lawyer's fees, it's a measly 115 hours.
Maybe it's all a publicity stunt? The clearly groundless claim that Adam wasn't qualified for Idol is the kind of thing that might get some entertainment site looks, if it were true. But the waiting two years to mention it cuts into that traction.
But maybe they were hoping the lawsuit would garner publicity, which would lead to people being curious and sampling.
Not so sure sampling would lead to buying however.

I love it too and a "next" sound and of course, with vocals and a "build," (as opposed to repetition) as Adam is A.MAZING at doing, it could sound great. Hmm, I wonder if he will add another bass/rhythm guitar?? It will be interesting to see!! That video is brilliant, too! Wow, that Wolfgang ref, just sent me on a downward spiral, . I'm just listening to a lot of his stuff. And this stuff is really good. Well I know some of the things that I'll be listening in the meantime until we get new Adam music.

Wow, that Wolfgang ref, just sent me on a downward spiral, . I'm just listening to a lot of his stuff. And this stuff is really good. Well I know some of the things that I'll be listening in the meantime until we get new Adam music. I love how Adam knows about so many artists. I know it is part of his job to know this stuff, but I don't think all artists are as informed or as appreciative about so many genres as he is. Case in point, Levine not knowing WWFM?! |
