While I agree with Juniemoon that We Are the Champions and We Will Rock You are stadium staples, I have to tell you that my 6 yr old granddaughter recognized them immediately as i played them more than once yesterday and said her teacher plays them in gym class. I have to meet that teacher while I'm here. Oh, believe me. The youngest kids know We Will Rock You. In music classes if I clap the famous drum rhythm from that song (short, short, long), some little one recognizes it. Then a spontaneous group performance of the rhythm erupts and I have become irrelevant. :D Never fails. Plus 4th and 5th grade band students want to play it as a solo. They all know it--and I did not teach it to them. |
