Anybody else give this a listen? Does it seem like Adam lost his sound feed? He recovered really well. OOOOO. OUCH!!!! Poor baby. He is missing the keyboards or maybe part of the backing track here. Consequently, he can't find the key. (The audience can't either. haha.) All he has to set the key is a very low, throbbing bass line, and from the stage it was probably very muddy with hardly any discernible pitch. Have to say that I noticed the lack of the keyboards in several numbers. I'm sure it was a real challenge because the keyboards provide so much of the harmony filler --- to a greater degree than the bass or Monte's keyboard. Wish Zac had filled in. Oh, well. The concert was a great success, and that's what matters. Thanks, Cassie!! He kept looking a bit bewildered and half-pointing at his ears. So he couldn't find the key. That makes sense, the way he was riffing about. Honest, I didn't ask because I want to critique Adam..I thought it was a damn fine concert..again, I heard it happen too throughout the set and was confused. Thanks for your take on it! I didn't know how important keyboards were. Not well-versed in music, obviously. I always appreciate feedback, Atopers!!

Oh that makes more sense! So the B2 on American Idol still reigns as his live low note, unless I missed something pre-Idol. I do not recall ever hearing a B2 on Idol. Can you point me to which song? For a long time I kept hearing that B2 was his lowest note recorded, but hadn't heard it. Then, someone pointed me to one of the Bastard Album That May Not Be Named cuts, and there it was. Just a brush. For less than a second. So, it is for real. Others have said they heard a B2 or an A2 on backing vocals on FYE, but I don't credit that. Might be someone else singing. Might be manipulated by electronics. As far as USABLE notes, I have heard him hit C3 (a half step above B2) several times in WLL live, and the C#3 in Aftermath every night. On tour, his highest note was normally (what is normal when we are talking about Adam's voice???) was an F#5. Occasionally we would get a G5, and once or twice the Bb5 for a brush. On Idol, and pre-Idol, he has a bunch of ringing A5s. So, for usable range nightly I would peg him at C3-A5. Not quite three octaves. But, considering that most singers performing today have a usable range of maybe an octave and a half, Adam still is the reigning monarch. And that is talking just pitch, not tone. Is this too much for the concert thread? Should I move it to the masterclass forum? Q3 comment: OK to leave here -- and since he performed the song today, I will answer it here -- Idol Live performance of Whole Lotta Love B2 or Bb2 supposed to be in it -- not sure just going by IdolRanges ratings.

A comment from the DDD forums, referencing Adam in MAXIDROM 28.05.11 - Adam Lambert - Fever Sariel984 at www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_Cua4Oz55I&feature=player_embedded : "Oh, on Fever he hit his lowest live note! At 0:17... it's a B2. A C3 in the studio version, he takes it down a semitone live but usually he avoids the B2. Nice job! And that Sleepwalker was nuts! Maybe even better than the Club Nokia version." Huh? What? Where? Sorry to burst your bubble but.... nope. The note is an E3. A rich, full E3, but not his lowest note. Every night on tour he hit a tone and a half lower at the beginning of Aftermath. Don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but, as great as Adam sounded in Moscow, and as wonderful as some of the riffs, runs, and high notes were, the notes were no higher or lower than normal for his concert. I think that after six months with no new concert videos, it is a bit like hearing him for the first time, all over again. We forget how friggin' incredible this man sounds in full concert mode. LOVE IT! Totally agree, Cassie!Wasn't it GRAND to hear him sing again? It WAS like hearing him for the first time and for the Russians, it probably was. So thrilled the concert was a success!! ;D
