I saw an article in my local paper today that several hotels in my town have laid off all of their hourly workers because of reduced bookings. And we have only had one confirmed case in my town and that was only in the last couple of days.
But I was in New Orleans last week and was in the same building as a couple of people who later were showing symptoms but have not been confirmed to have it. So I have been hiding out in my house and not going out for anything just to be on the safe side. Three more days and it will have been 2 weeks. So far, I've had no symptoms.
And luckily I have been working from home in my new job. Except when they have me traveling. But I think that will be at a bare minimum now. They already cancelled a meeting where 5 or 6 others were coming to my town.
One of the things that I am working on is to help set up a remote telemedicine capability for a clinic so that they can better deal with this crisis!

Not sure i agree with Brian on this one. Unfortunately the "for your own good" is simply true and like it or not: a very strong, make or break arguement. Sadly not all young people feel enough responsiblity for the sake of the ones who are more im danger of this virus. I feel quite a few people around me have understood that it is all about trying to keep the spreading of the virus to a Minimum so our health care system wont Break down, people can be treated and deaths can be kept low
I myself have stopped hugging people (cheers to all the Birthdays coming up in my circle of friends including my own) and hope it helps at least a bit and of course washing your hands more often and thoroughly.
The Tori Kelly concert in 10 days is cancelled. My two best friends were going to take me to a acapella band next tuesday as my Birthday present. That is also cancelled.
Our government has promised easy credits for affected industries and companies. My musician friend is self employed and therefore a bit concerned about keeping an income. My grandma got a new shoulder a few weeks ago and is now in rehab. Yep, after two or three days of liming visitation to an hour and person a day it was closed completly for visitors.
On the up Side: finally we are doing the right thing and mother Nature is getting a much needed break, can heal and quite literally take a freaking breath. I read what seems to me a very solid and therefore plausible calculation that through the improvement of the Air quality in china more people have been saved through that than have died of the Virus. Even though calculating very conservative it still came to a factor of 20. Even a factor of five or ten would still be impressive.

It sure looks like Dr. Bri is very fired up about all this! We may get some really passionate music from him. He says he will WRITE!
Great to finally get a message from Adam. He and so many other artists are in the same boat. At least he has a financial cushion, at least for a while. I feel so bad for people who don't make much money to begin with but still get laid off. The ripple effect of all this is devastating.
I know we will support Adam's new music regardless of whether he can do promo or not.
Stay safe, everybody! This too shall pass.

So on Monday, my Toronto Raptors played the Utah Jazz and their TWO infected players for nearly three hours and not a single one of our players or anyone else travelling on their team plane tested positive. Just wanted to share some good news.

Didn't see this Venetian Resort tweet here: "Presently, the residency shows for Adam Lambert at The Venetian Resort will take place as scheduled. If you have questions or are unable to attend, please call 866.641.7469 for more information on refund options. Thank you!"

So it still makes me think they could get canceled. Still 6 weeks away guess we'll see.

A few days ago the NCAA were saying the March Madness would āproceed as plannedā so I wouldnāt read anything into that tweet.

Yeah, I think the Venetian (or whoever) is being awfully optimistic. No tickets are selling anymore on TM and there are many available for the 2 added dates. I think it would be wiser to try to find new dates sometime in fall and get it confirmed now (like Cher's team did). Even though I could still go since I would be flying from CA, unless there is a miraculous turnaround in the virus statistics, I won't be going.
