SHE IS ONLY 23?!?!?! Jeebus. Feels like she should be much older, like she has been around forever. And no Mr. Manager of Rihanna, the people putting out music every 2 or 3 yrs are not disposable, it's the music that artists who release every 6 months who are disposable. Because her music is written by a committee and the artist is just a singer for hire with absolutely no artistic viewpoint who will be tossed aside as soon as the candles are lit on her 35th birthday and a whole other crop of younger, hotter gals are there to take the artists place with ever more disposable music. Of course there is a chance she could pull a Madonna and keep on working, but with this kind of a schedule the chance for burn out is high. The chance for people just being sick of her and moving on is even higher. Don't get me wrong--even tho I am sick of Rihanna like WOAH, her music is generally catchy as fuck and I'll buy her music if I like it, but she is not an "artist" ....she is a product. Good for her that she is so successful, but artists who actually take time to craft and create their own music are not disposable. It's sad that we live in a kind of society that feels this way. I know I don't....and I sure hope that the generation coming up behind me doesn't feel the same. It's the success of people like Adele which give hope to everyone who likes QUALITY pop music. It will just be interesting to see who of the pop star divas of today will still be around in 10-15 years. Right now I can see Gaga sticking around, perhaps Adele if her voice holds out....and Beyonce. Anyone else I'd be surprised.

No wonder it seems like Rhianna never goes away (Chunkey, where are you?)!! Mobile studios? Interesting approach! I almost feel sorry for her. SHE IS ONLY 23?!?!?! Jeebus. I agree with everything you said Chunkey, but Adam is almost thirty and he needs to reel in his fan base so he will last! I'll be around as most of you all will but the masses need to hear and see him alot to stay interested!

Listen, I agree that Adam doesn't have the luxury to fart around forever to get his album out....and I don't want him to put out an album at a snails pace for the rest of his career--but if he suddenly started pulling a RiRi I might get sick of him too....sure it would be great at first....but after a while I would be all >_> If he is successful enough to keep making albums he could put out quite a few albums throughout his 30's without subscribing to the Rihanna borderline musical slavery method.

This reviewer at Slate has exactly the same opinion as you so I thought you might be interested in the piece he wrote. I read it a couple of days ago but because we had so much good Adam news, I just left it. Like She’s the Only Girl in the WorldThe improbable, unstoppable success of Rihanna. By Jonah Weiner|Posted Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at 7:04 AM ET "In a sense, getting out of the way is what Rihanna does best. There’s something paradoxical about her: She’s a pop star you almost forget is there. Her presence on songs is, at best, unobtrusive, pliant, less adaptable than compatible, like a chameleon who stays one more or less pleasing color. Extra-musically, she is blurry."

I don't see Adam getting sucked down that rabbit hole, he's too independant! And thank the universe for that!

Linda--She has to be unobtrusive and pliant because she is everywhere on everyone's songs as well as her own. If she was more in your face people would be like GOOO AWAAAAAAY. Lol.
