What? Katy Perry? Did anyone else hear this? All the news was that they had asked GaGa. So glad Adam was it!!!! Cause, yall know, he is IT!!!! No one could have touched his performance with a 10 foot pole!!!! Completely mind blowing out of the park vocal genius! Here's a fans take. IDK. Gaga doesn't share. At all. What happened was that they probably asked Adam to do the show, but wanted Gaga to do Under Pressure. Bitch probably turned it down b/c she wanted the whole damn thing to herself and she doesn't exactly have the warm fuzzies for Adam either. So she probably demanded that SHE get to do the whole thing by herself, no Adam, and they laughed in her face. Hence, the desperate, arrogant, ZOMGGG I LOVE QUEEEN AND THEY LOVEEEE MEEE speech right before the show, and the FU Under Pressure fakeout. Maybe would be great to see Queen + Adam and Gaga to perform Under Pressure.. but I still prefer Queen + Adam + Bowie.. ;D |

I just tweeted the link to him. I really hope he'll take a look at it. I'm sure he'll be touched and flattered. You know, I think there's much more chance of it being noticed if you tweet it to Eber. I don't think it will be considered as imposing or using him as a mailman, because I'm sure he will be touched by it. And if he'll be moved enough, he might send it to Adam (probably privately though). Good thinking! Done. Regarding Gaga and the speculation about how she would have behaved if she had sung with Queen--I'm one of those who appreciates Gaga's songs and voice but thinks she has become a not-very-funny parody of herself. However, it always gripes me when someone says, "Here's what I think might have happened--" and then proceeds to be OUTRAGED based solely on their own speculation, and that's what I saw in that person's tweet. She has no clue what went on behind the scenes but concludes that Gaga is a self-centered bitch because of the way she behaved in that person's imagination. Criticism of Gaga because she arrived at an award show in a giant egg? Fair game, because we know she did it. Criticism of her because she would have assumed the starring role in the Queen tribute? Unfair, silly, and pointless, because it didn't happen and we have no evidence that it would have. |

[/quote] THIS. ... the thought of KP being invited is just silly, at least Gaga has some power in her voice...KP is a doll and a cutie and all that, but doing these humongous, earth shuddering songs - ....silly in reality, though - WHO CARES? the general public got to experience ADAM. This was a truly HISTORIC PERFORMANCE. The one that will go into the history of QUEEN and into the history of ADAM the artist! Years from now we will be seeing this performance as part of his story on some huge intergalactic tribute to AFL! That is all. |

Funnily enough I often find myself moving from a position of more or less indifference to a more pro-Gaga position after reading comments on this site, I'm not sure if that's the intended effect, but that's what happens for me. ;D |

I changed by YouTube name to heartfrumps (stupid story) after they banned me for uploading American Idol videos. Apparently, some people can get away with it. I never took this as fact, hence the highlighted "I." It is just her specualtion on what this person thinks went down. This is not a Gaga fan site. If people don't like her, and if it is in the context of discussing an Adam situation, then I think she should be OK to discuss. I get why people love Gaga. I get why people can't stand Gaga. She's not for everyone! I LOVE Katy Perry, but I don't get mad when people say she can't sing. It is just an opinion and my opinion is different. I think she has a unique voice, love her personality, and she puts on a hella live show! Love that she loves Adam. But when people put her down, I certainly don't take offense. Everyone is not for everybody! As long as this site remains a focus on Adam with fans that love Adam, I think everyone else is fair game. I used to think Katty Perry couldn't sing, I say this now it's just because of the songs she recorded that don't really show her singing ability. After I saw a YT of her singing with Ferras on the piano.. I was like.. wow.. the girl can actually sing... but yeah her tribute to Queen with Elton (If I'm not mistaken) on the NY Eve's not really good, maybe coz the range of the song. I'm not a fan of her but I like that she and Adam are close. |
