I should have known better than to go onto the Idol playlist on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Now I'm hooked. I just noticed that Kris Allen seems to have been a fan of Adam's from the beginning. The only song of his I really heard was the first from his album, but always thought he seemed like a nice guy. Watching him pumping up the audience when Adam sings at the results show reinforces that. youtu.be/K1yAbhE2igA. Last trip down memory lane I promise.

I don't know how or when Queen asked Adam to sing for them, but I'm sure glad they did, and I have a feeling they are pretty happy with the result. You can see it in their body language during the performance- in the way May's upper body sways towards Adam, in the expressions on his face, on Taylor's open mouth at the end of TSMGO... As far as Gaga, she has a strong voice, and my feeling is that many artists would be interested in collaborating with her as she is hugely popular, and that means a hugely popular collaboration. Whether you like her personally or not, collaborating with her would be good business and would bring maximum media attention. I am just glad that Adam had this opportunity to show so many people, inside and outside of the industry, what he can do, and that he nailed the performance the way he did. Queen will likely feature varied singers, and some of them will be good, but May and Taylor won't forget their experience with Adam, and my guess is we'll see them together again sometime. What I've noticed is that this performance keeps getting better and better with time, and I should know, having listened to it more than a few times in the interest of research, LOL. Remember on AI rock week when Simon said, "The problem is...who can top this?" Truth is, Queen will have a hard time finding anyone that is as good a fit to sing Freddie's songs as is Adam. Remember the Poop worthy remark by Alisan, that was months ago..I can't think of anything more poop worthy than singing with Queen to honor Freddie Mercury.. all the rest of the rumors , IMHO is we can't let Adam have this moment.

Even minus the make-up and razzle-dazzle, Adam is a good looking guy. He actually looks 5 years younger rather than 5 years older on AI. youtu.be/VQ--ayeYsI8He really is adorable here: This phase and when his hair is slightly longer in "The Prayer," remind me of Rob Lowe a bit. ETA: Oh sure, I embed the vid and it lands on her? :-/

www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/cr-awards-queen/Queen won the Best Reissue Of The Year Award – come inside for exclusive chinwags with none other than guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Are the newspaper rumours true, is Lady Gaga going to join Queen? Taylor: No. Even though she nicked the name [from Radio GaGa].
May: It’ll never happen.
Somehow I just love Brian's aswer "It'll never happen"... the vocal will not support their songs... ;D ;D ;D

I wonder if Brian and Roger contacted Adam personally or if they went through his agent? I would love to know all the story behind this collaboration. Call me nosy but I'd like to think I just have an 'inquiring mind'! ;D
