The outtakes we saw a few days ago actually have more of Adam than was on the show. Most of what was on, we have already seen. They had one of the kids talking over Adam's accapella WWFM, so the YT is better. YT will be up soon, I imagine!

If only Idol and Xfactor had taken cues from this show just imagine. No drama just talented group of artists doing their thing. Idol and Xfaxtor are two very commercial tv shows. M&M is bout giving back from these professionals to these minors. True^^ Plus, can you imagine if Adam had the staging and the over-the-top production that they have on X Factor! He didn't NEED it, but he would have LOVED it! What does the winner of M&M get? A recording contract?

"Majors & Minors" really is an adorable show. These kids are hard-working, engaging, articulate and very talented. Everything is approached with a spirit of teaching and empowering – not tearing someone down as the "commercial" talent shows so often are. Adam was beyond adorable, of course and an AMAZING mentor and coach. He really can do everything. This is a fascinating article from the BBC: www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15694487Where are the new music megastars? There are more young songwriters in the UK than ever before, so why are all the biggest live acts over 40?
It's called the YouTube boom. The number of registered songwriters in Britain has topped 83,000. That's a 62% increase in just five years.
They are performers like Birdy, a 15-year-old schoolgirl who was introduced to a song by her aunt, recorded her own version, posted it online and then found that six million people had watched it.
She now has a two album deal with Atlantic - home to stars like Bruno Mars, James Blunt and Flo Rida - but it's a tough market for new artists.
Britain's Performing Rights Society (PRS), which collects royalties on behalf of songwriters and musicians, says there is a crisis brewing.
The number of young performers breaking through in terms of album sales is down by 30% compared to 2009, it says.
The industry is increasingly relying on aging heritage acts and failing to turn this huge resource of young songwriters into stars who will actually make money in the long run.
PRS chief economist Will Page says: "You've had an explosive growth in live music to the point where it's outselling recorded (music) for the first time in modern history.
Birdy talks about her album and the runaway success of her YouTube videos
"I think it's right to point out the imbalance of heritage bands dominating that music sector and ask the question who's going to be selling out the stadiums and festivals in 2025?"
...
But the market is increasingly cut-throat, and bands are being allowed to fade out when they should be at their commercial peak.
The situation is highlighted in a study by Deloitte of the biggest selling live acts in America over the last 10 years. Forty per cent of the bands had a lead singer who was 60 or over. Only one act in the top 50 was in her 20s, and that was Britney Spears. A stunning 94% of the top 20 was aged over 40. ( )
(More) Most amazing points: • Live music is selling more than recorded music for the first time in modern history • 94% of the Top 20 touring bands over the past 20 years in the U.S. were over 40 years old. • Only ONE of the Top 50 touring bands over last decade had a lead singer in their 20s (Britney) I think this scenario benefits Adam to a large degree. One of the things the article laments is that artists are not give the chance to mature as the bands of the past were allowed to do. Fortunately, Adam is already a very seasoned singer and an excellent live performer and that is a HUGE benefit to him in today's market. Also, his appeal crosses multiple generations. Though in ad-driven mass media, the young audience is still king, there is no denying the buying power of the older audience and if live music is selling more than recorded music, that is nothing to sneeze at. He's got many aces up his sleeve rn ...

tot mods delete if to ot reading the thread tonight ,i just had to bring over the comparison danny gokey dream onhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X150SrrY5bM god (dio) dream on www.youtube.com/watch?v=X150SrrY5bMif my record of bringing youtubes here cotinues neither of these will work, but for those that thought gokey wasnt that bad ,he was ,from the first note onwards , I just watched this video and was going to comment but didn't know if I should. It was funny to see Paula on her feet rockin' then the scream - she was suddenly back in her seat with a stricken WTF look on her face. But on a positive note, Adam was wonderful on M&M. He is relaxed, smiling, warm, and took the time to shake each child's hand. His advice, as always, is both constructive and kind. I'm sorry, but there are not that many men (people) in this world who can match the humanity of Adam Lambert.
