LOVED the interview from HuffPost Australia. Adam appears to be quite open and honest about where he's at right now, and I agree that his music supports all of that and resonates. Good to know that he is in the right headspace to find love again. I wish him the very best. It might actually not be a bad thing for him to "re-group" a little while social distancing. I'm sure it's a good idea, not just for Adam, but for all of us to "re-group" a little, while social distancing . . . While we all ponder Adam, I'm thinking it's a worthwhile idea to ponder our lives, our priorities, and our perspectives, as well. Absolutely. I should have included that. While social distancing and the threat and uncertainty of the disease is hard on many of us, it slows down the pace and makes us re-focus, and as heart breaking as this pandemic is, I do actually see some positives in it. I can only speak for myself but I do think that we are becoming more "aware" of the world and the people around us, despite the physical distance, and we are starting to realize that we need less than we think we do. I think that by now we might have a good understanding what matters most. Some probably got to experience that during earlier hardships. I also see that the planet is breathing a little now. Again, not easy times, but a good opportunity to "re-group" for all of us, despite Adam being the major topic here on this site.

Interesting that Dua Lipa has released her new album despite the virus. It sounds rather similar to Velvet! Just read about it on BBC news.
"Future Nostalgia is currently heading to number one in the UK and the top five in the US. It's also one of the highest-rated albums of 2020 so far, with an average score of 88 on Metacritic. As the title suggests, it sounds like a throwback record from the year 2050 - its laser-gun pop melodies fused with squelchy funk basslines and disco grooves.
Dua dreamt up the concept in late 2018 as she walked around the strip in Las Vegas. "I'd already started working on the record and I knew I wanted it to reflect my childhood influences, but I hadn't quite figured out what direction I wanted to go," she recalls.
"I had my headphones in and was out walking to clear my head, when I was like, 'Oh, I know, Future Nostalgia could work.'

Lurleene, I really liked your post. Meant to reply right away but the day got in the way. The frustration of low radio play continues no matter what. A good album with very good reviews and some decent charting should get at least some radio play. I realize the DJs don't decide this. Grrrrr.
And the distant hope of a Grammy nom is something I will hang onto. And yes, not being in the pop category would be a plus. Would love for the album to maintain some visibility through this year so that it's on the radar on those who decide who gets noms. Whatever happens, I love the album.

Is this the year of the nostalgia albums? Adam's 70's inspired, Sam Sparro's 80's inspired...Dua Lippa past/future inspired?
Did we run out of ideas as far as album themes lol?

I know Sam is Adam's friend but I have never listened to his work unless it is on an Adam song. And I have seen Dua on a few shows and was unimpressed so I don't listen to her work either. But she is on a major label and gets on the radio and is doing very well so great for her. Harry Styles also has that nostalgia thing going on and I do like him and listen to his work.
