This is OT-- not Adam... but ... well.. Adam does love these books so I guess it fits here.. BUT I AM EXCITED!
(and no, I'm not going to complain about Adam not playing Cinna. I love the casting of Lenny Kravitz)

I did a glamberty thing this weekend. I emailed our local pop station to ask them not to play bfm if they had received it as a single. I'm really pleased to say that they not only answered my email, they confirmed they HAD received the bfm single but that it was "billed" as a pre-idol recording and not adam's latest single AND that they were looking forward to new Adam music in the new year. Yay! This station, hot899 does the only nationally syndicated canadian pop countdown show in Canada, so I like to think they have some sort of influence in our country's pop scene. I'm probably deluding myself. Anyway I've never done anything so fannish before... I don't tweet radio stations, call in for requests or vote in any online polls, so that was a very glamberty moment for me! Glad you did that "glamberty thing."

I loved the trailer too, Aloha! I woke up to a few very verbal people complaining about it on my feed, but it is very much how I envisioned it. Adam would have been gorgeous as Cinna, but we all know timing-wise (if he was ever even considered) it wouldn't work out with the writing/recording of Adam2 happening at the same time. Though Lenny has a very different look than I imagined, I am very happy with the casting.

Just saw this article. Sir Paul McCartney will kick off the London 2012 Olympics as Britain's answer to the spectaculars of Beijing's opening ceremony, it has been reported. Sir Paul will perform in front of a global audience of billions Photo: Getty Raf Sanchez By Raf Sanchez 7:10AM BST 28 Jul 2011 The former Beatle is set to perform in front of a global audience of billions as British talent is showcased at the games' opening ceremony on July 27. Sir Paul told Olympic organisers he's "up for" doing the show but detailed plans and choice of songs have yet to be finalised. The Rolling Stones reportedly declined an offer to perform and Led Zeppelin are also said to be staying away after frontman Robert Plant said he was not interested. A music industry source told the Daily Mirror: " The hope was to have the cream of British music all in the line up but it now looks like Macca will be joined by some younger stars on stage."But of all the people you would want, McCartney is number one. www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/8667129/Sir-Paul-McCartney-to-open-London-2012-Olympics.htmlThis stems from a proposal by Sir Steve Redgrave, the London 2012 sports legacy champion, who argued the opening ceremony should feature a supergroup of British rock icons. " If Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo came together with great bands such as the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols it would be fantastic," he told the People. "We have to show the world what we are good at."www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jul/12/paul-mccartney-ringo-london-2012-olympicsNo mentions of Queen, but come on - greatest British rock bands. Could happen. They are articles from back in July, so I'm sure they have been asking other great bands. If TPTB from the committee who will choose the performers happened to be at or watch the EMAs, they may decide Queen and Adam would be perfect - one of the greatest British rock bands, but with a fabulous new young singer. And where Queen may not have wanted to participate earlier (dont' know that they were or were not asked), the EMA gig may have put a whole new light on things. (Just wishin'.)

I did the fangirl stuff last year on this Muchmusic channel forAdam's FYE and WWFM video. It is easy, just click the box and the music channel broadcast his vids few times a day. I know exactly when he would be on TV everyday ;D. ;D
