Can Paul even sing anymore? Just curious...I know he's getting up there. Also at that article--the Sex Pistols? LMAO. No. Johnny Rotten couldn't sing back then and dear God I don't wanna know what he sounds like now. Besides, you're gonna start off the Olympics with the rousing, family friendly I AM AN ANTICHRIST! I AM AN ANARCHIST! lolzzz hookay. What does it mean when they say "macca" will be joined by younger faces? Probably a good idea seeing as how most of these iconic British bands are not only populated with older men, but older men who happen to look like crypt keepers who may steal your soul and eat your children. Yeah Keith Richards, I'm looking at you.I hope Queen is considered, but if not oh well. No guarantee Adam would perform anyways. Maybe closing ceremony tho or do they not perform then? I honestly can't remember....  Seriously now, we in Greece had the opening ceremony which was more serious and then at the closing ceremony we had the big party with all the famous Greek singers, and it happened elsewhere, so it IS possible to happen. |

I've heard he still sounds great – does three-hour shows when he performs and they're amazing. I guess with the '70s bands all hitting their 60s, maybe Duran Duran and the like would be considered "younger faces." Of course, no guarantee, but hard for anyone to argue with something that worked THAT WELL and so recently. We can always hope ... |

I did a glamberty thing this weekend. I emailed our local pop station to ask them not to play bfm if they had received it as a single. I'm really pleased to say that they not only answered my email, they confirmed they HAD received the bfm single but that it was "billed" as a pre-idol recording and not adam's latest single AND that they were looking forward to new Adam music in the new year. Yay!
This station, hot899 does the only nationally syndicated canadian pop countdown show in Canada, so I like to think they have some sort of influence in our country's pop scene. I'm probably deluding myself.
Anyway I've never done anything so fannish before... I don't tweet radio stations, call in for requests or vote in any online polls, so that was a very glamberty moment for me!

Purely a guess, but seeing as though the AMAs are Sunday, I think we would have heard by now if they were honoring Queen. That part of the EMAs was not a secret. Susie - this makes sense. oh, well... not watching then  The Olympics hope is very small ... although there is nothing better than WATC for that event. |
