Because TSMGO is on replay in my brain, I came to this AHA while making the bed....
What other male singer can sing about MAKEUP and have it be real? After watching the M&M clips I realized how much it matters when a singer makes the words come to life.

Because TSMGO is on replay in my brain, I came to this AHA while making the bed.... What other male singer can sing about MAKEUP and have it be real? After watching the M&M clips I realized how much it matters when a singer makes the words come to life. Yep, kinda like "My sould is painted like the wings of butterflies"...when Adam sings that, I believe it! (and he even wore his butterfly shirt on the RC!...do you suppose that was on purpose, lol?) ETA: Yippie, have I ever told you how much I LOVE YOUR AVI?! |

"The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo?" Love those books, have you seen the swedish movies, they are all good! Loved the first one the best! The 3rd book is very technical about financial stuff Uh, Adam would like them, I think! I LOVED the Swedish movie based on the first book  Me too. The actress who played the main part was amazing. |

As much as I enjoyed hearing Adam sing with Queen, and as wonderful as he would be as their "go-to" lead singer for special events, I can't imagine Adam choosing to do that. He is establishing his own brand. A one shot gig for the EMAs in tribute to Queen gives him visibility and credibility with a new audience. Singing more often, he would become "Queen's new singer who also does gigs and records independently."
Plus, Adam is concentrating on creating the new, now, next sound, and Queen is not that. Their music is from 20-30 years ago. Adam's parents' generation. They were great, and watching/listening to the standards is wonderful nostalgia, but Adam isn't interested in nostalgia. I don't want that for him, either. I want him to reach the stratosphere as "Adam", not Freddie Mercury 2.0.

If Queen only performs really high profile gigs once or twice per year (ie it is around 6 months until the Olympics) Adam could probably do them and still be a completely independent artist. Album #2 will have released and either be making it or not before the Olympics rolls around. I think it would only add to his cachet that he was in addition to being a pop star also the go-to guy for Queen. |
