Would it not be smart for RCA to get a single out for Adam now so it would overshadow the BfM and make it go away. We don't know the whole story behind the delay of the release of the lead single, but I doubt BfM was the only reason, or even the major reason. BfM will never make enough of an impact with radio to throw away what will hopefully be a strong, carefully orchestrated promo push in order to release the lead single prematurely just to deal with it. Without support from a major label and from the artist, and given that it doesn't fit at all on the formats to which Adam is releasing his music (not to mention what happens if a radio station DOES play it), IMO it'll go away on its own.

I'm probably way late on this comment (and someone else may have already said it yesterday!) but I particularly enjoyed all 12 kids instantly knowing WWFM from hearing only 1 or 2 notes of the guitar intro. Makes it even more suspect that Mr. Levine had NEVER heard the song.

I just read this motto and thought it was most appropriate regarding my hopes and dreams for Adam's future as a artist, and for wild success with album #2. "Do not worry about whether or not the sun will rise. Be prepared to enjoy it. "I love it, Cassie. Worrying accomplishes nothing. If there is something you can do, do it. If not just enjoy the ride, offer support where you can, and be prepared to say, "I knew him WHEN." Actually, that is how I felt as he strutted down the catwalk last Sunday night. I know PRIDE is a sin, but I couldn't help it. PRIDE is a sin???? really? like in "feeling of great accomplishment" is a sin? (sorry for this OTT question - is this some kind of religions teaching? and if yes -what religion?)

Which AI performance did Randy say to Adam something like "you straightened it up"? Because on Majors and Minors yesterday, D Byrd was coaching that one kid on singing without vibrato and told him to "straighten it up". Is it possible Randy was referring to this when he made that remark?
ETA: It was after Tracks of My Tears.

Yes, pride is one of the seven deadly sins: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sinsAlso, from the Bible Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Just relaying info here, not saying this is what I believe, btw.)

Actually I don't think a simple "feeling of accomplishment" is a considered a sin but the sin of pride is in feeling that you are better than someone else in a sense of somehow more worthy. One may be better in terms of a skill or talent but that doesn't make one more "worthy". This is the way I see the pride thing. This to me is the difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence is belief in yourself whereas arrogance is a belief that you are better than someone else.

I believe the delay in the single really has to do with the global preparation for release. The bigwigs in the UK must have been so impressed with what they heard that they wanted to lay the proper foundation for the single release in the UK as well as the rest of the world.
