Well, all I know is that I really couldn't be prouder of the way Adam sang TSMGO! I watched it this morning thinking of all that he had told the kids he mentored on yesterday's Majors and Minors, and for me, that performance perfectly highlighted all of the things he was telling them to do. I can't begin to explain how that performance moves me. I guess here I don't have to even try.  |

PRIDE is a sin???? really? like in "feeling of great accomplishment" is a sin? (sorry for this OTT question - is this some kind of religions teaching? and if yes -what religion?) (Just relaying info here, not saying this is what I believe, btw.) Guessing this is the source: משלי 16:18 לִפְנֵי־שֶׁ֥בֶר גָּאֹ֑ון וְלִפְנֵ֥י כִ֝שָּׁלֹ֗ון גֹּ֣בַהּ רֽוּחַ Translation is always a problem as sometimes you insert your own (the translator's) interpretation and intention into it and I guess that is exactly what happened to the sentence in the English, Latin translation. Mishley = Proverb Based on the source (the Hebrew bible) the meaning is not that PRIDE after an accomplishment is bad. The sentence looks back and says that if you have failed then you should re-evaluate your steps. Then you should find that you were probably arrogant and over estimated your power and underestimated your opponent. As everything in the Bible there were a lot of discussions on this sentence. My hunch on the Singapore DJ getting previews – like Q3 said, they're likely not going to Asia for single promo, so getting some advance buzz out there and again doing that "forming alliances" thing by making it seem like they are in on something Super Secret. (Which they are.)
I don't think UK DJs were embargoed 'til January. A few were handpicked to do exactly what they did – meet Adam, listen to the tunes, then tweet about said tunes in very general terms. They flailed about Adam and the music, but really gave nothing away but the tease.
Those who did jump the gun or give too much detail (likely accidental) deleted immediately, but unfortch, we were too quick for them.
Really only a handful of DJs seem to be confused by BFM and that might have come because they were just not paying attention to packaging (that would not have been from RCA Records). I'm sure the RCA "sneak previews" would have come with a security agreement, watermark (as Rihannasu said).
IF they are planning U.S. listening parties (and why not? it worked great for Katy ...) they might be in January. Katy had three – in L.A., New York and Atlanta (where her label is based). They were in June and her album was released in late August – so about three months. I think "Califoria Gurls" was already out and was the basis for the party theme.

As I was watching EMAs again, I was remembering what Adam said once about liking the "shoulder situation" on some jacket. In the very beginning of TSMGO where he is standing in the shadows, then again as he is walking away from the camera in a close shot, the shoulders on that Pugh jacket are incredible.
It adds even more power to the long legs, high boots, etc.
That's all, just had to share.

8toinfinity, you are correct. Either the director has never showed it before or Adam was the first to actually shake every kids name and ask for their name. I meant to mention that last night and was just so blown away by his appearance, forgot to! I also don't remember them ever referring back to the mentor's advice as the show went on. He was just amazing!!

No now that I come to think I changed my mind lol. What if someone who listens to the song is recording it ? I can't think anymore, I don't know anything about it, so I'll better stop!! It's OK, Gelly. His tweet made me worry about leaks too. I wasn't worried about the UK previews because I knew Sony and Adam had "control" of the situation. Hopefully this PD heard the sampling through a Sony rep. I do not want his music to leak this early. A few days early, would be OK, but not months early. :-/ |

Ok - just saw the recorded Majors and Minors show.
I'm not a watcher of the show, but that was just stupendeously wonderful. The kids are VERY talented, but still kids. Adam talked both respectfully and helpfully to them, and I loved how he gave each kid the advice that was right for THEM.
So impressed.

Hi all! I've been watching the EMA performance over and over (different versions) and realized that this one on the MTV EMA site has the different edit that some people mentioned seeing yesterday. There are a few more close-ups of Adam at the beginning and, of course, and a different view is always fun. tv.mtvema.com/video/2011-belfastI have to admit, I was kind of wishing for a Suz526 vid so we could see only Adam from start to finish...oh well, it's all good! Also, even though I LOVE seeing him perform on TV, I have to say that I can't wait to see vids (and LIVE hopefully) of his concerts again when he can be as crazy, sexy and free as he wants to be.
