That is actually the first song on Take One that I have heard. Never listened to any of it.
I have to say, it is Adam's voice, but not Adam. I don't feel the angst or interpretation that he gives his own songs. Example, compare the wanting and longing for a resolution to the song's idea between this and WWFM. Not even close!
ETA: Buderschnookie, I don't know, but it is obvious, to me, he is not being Adam!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY herovillain!!....and thank you so much for the Sauli blog/vid translations mia and zinnia!! It's fun to get a wee glimpse into their lives. I'm thinking we might have heard a wee bit about the boys anniversary celebration.....and we didn't. New York is looking good for a very special night.

Let me go slightly OT like I’m wont to do. Saw this title - JUSTIN BIEBER AUCTIONS PET SNAKE FOR CHARITY - on the CNN website and clicked it thinking I could write a comment saying something like “Why this article and no mention of the incredible amount (….. dollars) that Adam Lambert has been raising for charity ?” But then I realised 1) I do not know the actual grand total – 300,000 plus what? Does anybody know the total including the pendants, the materials for art and music classes, the amount collected so far for the Trevor project, proceeds from other sources and so on... Do we have a list somewhere with all the running totals? 2) The CNN page was already being flooded with very critical comments such as “The punk is worth millions, but rather than be TRULY charitable and part with his "hard earned" money, he'd rather part with his "beloved pet"". Or “Once the novelty of this pet wore off he decided to dump it.” Some of the comments are fun, and some very nasty.. I think the pendant had a drive to make the million dollar mark.  However, even though I am not a Beiber fan, he donates a portion of all his ticket sales to a charity that funds schools in Canada. Don't throw tomatoes at me (hides for cover) but I really love Adam's vocals in this song. I didn't buy it (the single or album) but there is something in his voice in this demo song that tugs at my heart... maybe because when he recorded this he was desperate for somebody to recognize his talent but nobody wants to take a chance in signing him ... just a demo for their songs... Plus it's November! Gabby, duck!  |
