Agree. horrible song choice for her but she sang it to the best of her ability IMO. I don't think simon knows wha to do with any of his girls personally. I think there are two contestants on x-factor who know who they are artistically...Josh and Astro and lucky they both have mentors who are allowing them to do their thing. IDK, if Nicole is a great mentor for Josh. I just think he is strong enough to stand up to her and to sing what he wants. She is pretty clueless, IMO. And as far as Astro, I don't think he can do anything else, but the boy does have the X Factor. I really hate the show! LOL! True about Josh but Nicole is smart enough to get out of his way...not sure Simon or LA would let him make his own decisions. What else is astro supposed to do? LOL....he's hip hop, it's all he needs to do. I really only enjoy a few performers and I FF thru the judge's BS. I'd love to see Josh win the whole thing but I doubt that'll happen. Part of me wonders what would've happened had Adam waited for this show instead of going on Idol. He def has he x-factor and can sing anything and everything.

I am not too crazy about the song and like cassie said the vocal is strained. Plus, it is in Bruno's sappy genre of music that is not my favorite. But his tweet is adorable and not just because he RT'd Adam. It is just funny and shows an admirable self-awareness; yes indeed in the the key of WTF #songsforsquirrels. This humor is what I see in my favorite Bruno Mars songs, like Billionaire and that Friday one. I hope he does tweet support for Adam's new music. That would make me happy. And maybe Adam likes the song because when he is singing along with the radio, it actually sounds good. To whom it may concern: For all future purposes, please refer to any relevant LindaG23 post for my opinions about Bruno Mars. Thank you. MWP. but Chunkey, just to be clear, speaking only for my self, if Adam wrote that drippy piece of fluff I would still find it a drippy piece of fluff. I can say that with 100% confidence because there has been occasional drippy fluff that has emerged from those beautiful lips over the years, and transcendent as it may sound in that voice, my cynical ass has never been able to enjoy it. But I might be more likely to bite my tongue about it here because what's the point of spoiling everyone's fun! I do think, however, that there is a certain kind of hetero-normative teenaged melodramatic cliche that we just won't see from Adam (any more than he would write Taylor Swiftian music, and I happen to think she's very good at what she does). I'm sure he's perfectly capable of wallowing in angst and piling on the cheese (hmm, is it disturbing that the thought of wallowy angst piled high with cheese is making me hungry?) but we'll never get that suffering-guy-worships/protects/comforts-possibly-hard-hearted-perfectly-beautiful-girl schtick from him (blech!) and for that I am eternally grateful!!! You said it perfectly.

are you saying that Rachel Crow doesn't have talent? If so I totally disagree. That girl has an amazing voice and is already hands down a better/more engaging performer than pretty much anyone Idol has produced in the last two seasons. I don't see how anyone would compare a 13 year old girls performance to a 27 year old man's and think they should be in the same league. She made the song cute and sang it well but the problem is there was absolutely no way we could believe a 13 year old who sings about satisfaction! And on the line that says "I was driving in my car", I chuckled at the ridiculousness of it. Her (Simon's) version stripped all meaning out of it. Besides Adam's incredible vocals on this song, he was able to sing it with conviction that oozed emotion and sex appeal (as usual). She is just too cute--in a child-like way, to be taken seriously for most songs. I love her talent but don't agree that she is mass marketable. Other young talents have at least something somewhat mature about them to attract young "crushes". I agree that she made the song cute. I also agree that it was the wrong choice for her. However, it makes no sense to compare a child's version of this song to Adam's. Of course he sang with conviction and sex appeal. he's a grown man with life experiences to draw on. Just like the kids from Majors & Minors singing Whatya Want from Me made no sense. Rachel, for her age, is a great performer and a fantastic singer. Simon needs to pick more appropriate songs for her to sing; I think the problem is that as "immature" as her personality is her voice is too big and too mature for songs by Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez. Rachel needs songs with range and depth to fully utilize her voice. There's a disconnect in that respect but the girl is super fun to watch and I'm rooting for her.

One of the interviewees in the GAY MARRIAGE WITH THE STARS video said Scarlett Johansson... I've had, so to speak, a crush on her ever since I saw A Love Song for Bobby Long, I mention it because... well because I can. No, seriously, it's a beautiful movie, you really should see it, if you haven't (of course). Every now and then I watch you on youtube. Scarlett Johansson is MINE!!!! I thought of her as soon as I heard the question! If you missed this movie - find it and watch! Real ART!!!!
