Not surprised country put the GO in Gokey. Dude didn't even know what the Grand Ole Opry was!! I'm not a country fan but even I know what that is! Country was the genre chosen for him bc no other genre wanted him lolzzz...the only other genre he could have a shot at is contemporary christian or christian rock or something... Right after Idol, a few of my religious event organizers asked me to book Gokey. His people were not interested. (They also ignored invitations by the WI HIstorical Society to donate a pair of glasses or some other item to their collection of WI entertainer memorabilia.) I told my clients, "Give it two, tops three years and he'll be dropped by country and if he has a brain, he'll be more interested in this market." I'm guessing that at some point next year, he might be interested in signing a contract for those types of events. They actually pay decently, btw. Not huge, but decently. You can make a good living if you know how to market yourself. (FTR, a religious event client was also interested in booking Kris Allen, but coming right off of Idol as the winner, his fee was too much for that client even if KA had been interested. I don't know what his fee is today, however...)

Lulu!!!! You are a HERO!!! I tried playing those vids soooo many times and was scorned. Brian and Roger!!!! Terra found the video's on the Getty's webpage and ripped the video's. She's the hero. Yes, but I couldn't get any of the downloads or incarnations to play until yours. Terra is ALWAYS a hero too!!! All our amazing archivists in this fandom are part of the overall experience. People are so generous with their time and skills and it's the best!

Sounds like a very interesting job. Thx for sharing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL!!! ESPECIALLY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 4MSRMYN!!!! I WISH I HAD YOUR ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS!!! *sigh* Adam is just to gorgeous. Sauli is cute but does nothing for me. SO Adam is all mine! ;D ;D ;D I'll fight you for Adam (or we can share) - Sauli is cute and seems to be a genuinely lovely human being and I am so happy for him and Adam, but he doesn't do anything for me either :

adam_pictures adam-pictures.com 138 pictures (many in HQ!) from the Out Magazine OUT 100 Gala in NYC - bit.ly/v1T5Gi 1 minute ago Got a question: While that hair is soo short on the side, does Adam have to color that practically daily How does hair have the strength to survive that constant treatment? Up on top his longer hair looks gorgeous, no sign of too much processing anywhere to be found? If that hair has gone through tons and tons of treatment, would that not show eventually??? Besides the work that it must take to maintain that, I just wonder how he keeps it all looking and staying so healthy? HAPPY BIRTHDAY jogib, gracefuladam, wacoscorpio, and famousamos!!!! Also 4Msrmyn!!!! Thank you for all you do!!!! And flowergirl!! What a beautiful cake and what a wonderful friend I hope all our Atop bday girls have a great day and weekend. I LOVE how you can see the jacket detail here and exactly how much his hair has grown. Gorgeous jacket. Craazy, Adam has good hair and good genes and because it grows so fast and he keeps it relatively short, it's not going to get too damaged. He gets it cut every four weeks or so. And as we can see, that is a lustrous head of hair. Also, darker coloring doesn't use the bleach that lighter coloring does so not as bad. My guess is he has some kind of instant color (lol, Just for Men?) that he touches on the growing-in parts right before he goes out. My guess is he was probably wearing hats since the EMAs to give it a chance to grow. Just had to pop in for a minute to throw in my 2 cents. Adam does seem to have particularly 'good' hair but as Susie said, the dark does not damage the hair much and he keeps it short enough for color not to build up. The dark is only applied to the roots anyway so if you are careful, the most each strand is colored dark is 2 or 3 times. The bleaching does far more damage but that is only done every couple of months from the looks of it....then temp colors applied to give the different hues from blue to green to brown to faded..... These temp colors do not show thru the dark color so no need to be careful. The great shine is just from glosses [colored or clear] and from silicon based shine styling product. If you look closely, you can see that the faded lightened parts do not shine nearly as much as the darker parts because he has not put a colored gloss on this time. As far as keeping up with the new growth...yes that is a pain. The hardest part is not coloring the short stuff it is keeping the color from staining the scalp visibly. Just nit-picky work. :-) It sure is nice to see that short stuff there though isn't it....makes for some high-end eye candy for us!! mmmnnnn

The ATOP Maps are back! I took someone's suggestion from yesterday (sorry, I forgot to notice who said it :( ) and split it into 3 parts. Here they are: tinyurl.com/ATOP-Map-Americas - North & South America tinyurl.com/ATOP-Map-EU - Europe & South Africa tinyurl.com/ATOP-Map-Asia - Asia & Australia I tried to arrange all the names alphabetically but sometimes, when I would save, Google would throw the top several names to the bottom of the list ... so I hope they are, and will stay, in proper order now! If you don't find your flag and want to be added, or just want to be placed more accurately, PM me with the location where you want to be shown. Thank you , these maps are great .

Just a quick post and run to greet the wonderful 4msrmn a super duper birthday and to all others celebrating today.
Leaving in a few minutes to pick up Sandysva and Glamtealady at the train station for the beginning of our Adam immersion weekend. Several others are joining us later today for a big dinner and funfilled weekend. When I called the restaurant to make a reservation, they asked if someone was celebrating a birthday. I guess we are and maybe we can get the usual birthday cake and blow the candles for you 4msrmn.
