HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL!!! ESPECIALLY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 4MSRMYN!!!! I WISH I HAD YOUR ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS!!! *sigh* Adam is just to gorgeous. Sauli is cute but does nothing for me. SO Adam is all mine! ;D ;D ;D I'll fight you for Adam (or we can share) - Sauli is cute and seems to be a genuinely lovely human being and I am so happy for him and Adam, but he doesn't do anything for me either : Whoa! Share girls, with me, that is. The rest of them can have Sauli. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Thanks!

Just a quick post and run to greet the wonderful 4msrmn a super duper birthday and to all others celebrating today. Leaving in a few minutes to pick up Sandysva and Glamtealady at the train station for the beginning of our Adam immersion weekend. Several others are joining us later today for a big dinner and funfilled weekend. When I called the restaurant to make a reservation, they asked if someone was celebrating a birthday. I guess we are and maybe we can get the usual birthday cake and blow the candles for you 4msrmn. Awww, thank you. I'll be thinking of that cake. I'd tell you to have a wonderful weekend, but how can you not?

While driving around today Aerosmith's Cryin' came on my radio. Don't remember hearing it since it first came out. What can I say? It is not Adam Lambert.
We joke around about Adam breaking Idol, or Adam spoiling us for other pop/rock singers, but, for many of us there is some truth in the jokes. While listening to Aerosmith's version I realized that BGNAFL (before Grammy Nominated Adam Fuckin' Lambert) I never paid much attention to the vocals in pop/rock. With rare exceptions, the vocals were just there, a part of the song, but not remarkable in any way. I also never expected them to be anything other than that. It was the overall sound, the beat, and the lyrics that either attracted me or didn't. The songs could have been sung by any number of different people, and as long as they stayed on pitch, it didn't matter. While I expected to hear great vocals in classical, musical theater, and jazz, I didn't associate them with pop/rock.
All that changed upon hearing GNAFL. My eyes and ears were opened. "Oh. oh. Listen to that voice!" How a great voice and masterful interpretative ability enhances a pop/rock sound. Before GNAFL, it just played in the background to accompany my driving and errand-running. Ubiquitous, somewhat banal at times, and rather mindless for much of the time. After Adam, I naturally pay attention to the vocals, and..... well, yeah, Adam pretty much ruined most others for me. What was once perfectly acceptable background music to my daily routine now fails to satisfy. After a few songs, I am back to my iPod to play something Adam for the 10,000th time.
Can't wait to add new music to the iPod.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY jogib, gracefuladam, wacoscorpio, and famousamos!is it your birthday too, flowergirl??!! HAPPY BDAY!! ...and I've got to give a special shout out to 4Msrmyn because she does so much for our community, archiving everything Adam. MUAH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Craazyforadam was remarking on Adam's luxurious healthy hair. I must say that I'm in awe of its shiny goodness! One sees so many people who try to dye their hair ebony and it looks dull and matte and incredible fake. (I see mzsue has added her expertise - well if the shine is simply glossing products, I'm gonna carry some in my purse and toss them to the next woman I see with dull black dyed hair, hehe). Adam's is simply spectacular! Also noticed that Sauli seems to be letting his hair return to the more original warm blonde, interesting. (I liked the silvery/platinum)....and he's so teeny tiny and adorable in these photos - I want to stuff him in my pocket. ;D (haha! Can you imagine if the entire world studied your hair and face in such minute detail? Celebrities have to have thick skins.) ....hair aside. I love how the boys are totally comfortable together. Heartwarming.

adam_pictures adam-pictures.com 138 pictures (many in HQ!) from the Out Magazine OUT 100 Gala in NYC - bit.ly/v1T5Gi 1 minute ago Got a question: While that hair is soo short on the side, does Adam have to color that practically daily How does hair have e strength to survive that constant treatment? Up on top his longer hair looks gorgeous, no sign of too much processing anywhere to be found? If that hair has gone through tons and tons of treatment, would that not show eventually??? Besides the work that it must take to maintain that, I just wonder how he keeps it all looking and staying so healthy? I think Adam has such strong hair that processing doesn't hurt it at all. And as fast as his hair grows, the processed hair is frequently being cut off leaving the strong, healthy hair that is so beautiful. Anyway, it's stripping and bleaching that does so much damage to hair, not coloring. Unless Sauli is a natural platinum blond, his processing may be taking a toll on his hair. They sure both looked gorgeous last night. 8-) .
