Am I the only one that is hoping that they just let bygones be bygones and that they just let that infamous performance be the elephant in the room and have them not mentioned a thing about it? I still have PTSD from that performance and everytime its mentioned I just ff, scroll, bypass the convo, and if they include it somehow in his script, I really don't care how much I love Adam and how good he'll probably look, I won't care to watch. I know I'm being a bit dramatic, but I really hate that performance. And no, I don't think it'll be great if he has a "scripted" kiss on stage. I think that'll be cheesy, stupid, and akin to the media making a joke out of it and him, and just keeping it fresh in peoples mind of the gay dude who kisses dudes on T.V. I want him to move forward not backward. Sorry everyone for being so late, just going through the thread now. Marie, I totally see what you mean about him kissing or pretending to kiss a guy on stage as a presenter at AMA, but I actually really like the idea. I think it could be a PR moment - like, it would draw attention, and also show that he's not afraid of being who he is, his spirit has not been tamed. There was something similar at the VMAs where Britney when she accepted her award almost kissed Gaga who was in drag, and it was a hilarious moment. That was a reference to when Britney kissed Madonna on stage for the VMAs. Britney went really close to Gaga as if to make out with her and then she was like "neah, I've already done that!" It was pretty funny. I think it would be funny if several guys came up on the stage and stood around Adam expectantly, and it turned out they were all hoping Adam would kiss them, but he declines. Re a co-write.... If he writes a badly needed bridge for BTIKM, he would get a writing credit, correct? |

I have to say I am very disappointed that BTIKM is the first single. I was really hoping that it would be something new and exciting with lyrics written by Adam and with a great rhythmic drum line. I realize that this will sound much different with Adam's voice but it still sounds like every other song I hear on the radio. If their goal was to find another WWFM, I guess they succeeded. WWFM was one of my least favorite songs on FYE and I still skip over it when listening to it. I want Adam to shake up the radio world, not add to it's mediocrity. , I agree with every single word in your post. But I am sure that Adam's version will be adamized enough to become an ear candy. And since the goal is for the radio to play - I will go with the opinion that this song has a chance of charting high. The fact that I don't like it is a great predictor in itself  I would've liked the lead song to be Adam's song, so he can establish himself as a songwriter (given that for some crazy reason it is important for the cred) and of course the $s are better. Not to mention that the songs he wrote on the FYE have deeper meaning and beauty and complexity. Hoping that the second/third/etc singles will all be songs written by Adam. Ok, continuing to flail  over the AMAs and shake my head in disbelief at the quotes from DickClark Productions. Although I do not see them anymore at the site that was linked here. ??? |

By the way dyg, I am from Spain, but now I live in Portugal. And I also lived in the UK for I while. I move quite a lot... It is fun! Great, gzkey! Portugal is a nice country. I have several friends there and have visited a couple of times. Glad to see another Adam stan nearby :-) |

Well, the demo for BTIKM is kinda weak, but I can't say what the finished product will be without hearing Adam's version, which will become the "real" version. The verses are too long, I don't think it's too hooky, there's no bridge, the lyrics are almost too abstract. But with the right production, tempo, bridge, emotion, and duh, Adam's voice, who knows?! I'm hoping he gets at least to top 20 in CHR, and people throwing their acoustic covers of it onto youtube.
It will obviously work well as a slow, acoustic version too.
I'm sure Adam will look good at the AMAs. Hopefully he doesn't do that awful VH1 makeup again. His Grammys look was sooo perfect.
And chiming in to laughing at the AMAs in full support of Adam now.
I can barely listen to FYE now, so it'll be awesome to have new Adam music. Dying to hear what the title track with Pharrell sounds like.

I'm feeling much better about the first single because I KNOW Adam knows how to write a bridge....his instinct for song arrangement (arc, bridge, etc., etc. is unparalleled.  |
