HHMM... I was thinking the same thing Seoulmate, and this one “ABC never banned him and Dick Clark Productions never would. We’d absolutely have him back.”
If the network never banned him so why they cancelled his performance at GMA? and the Jimmy Kimmel show's cancelled also. I wonder if his grand success performing with Queen at the EMA made them send this invitation to Adam and his management. ETA: Okay.. bridge under water... he's back now I just don't believe them that he never has been banned. They also ignored him on the AMAs last year, although his album did great. Not even a nomination, a performance would have been unlikely, though, because he has been on tour in Europe. The reason for his participation this year could be because of the Queen performance, but he could have been asked before it, too. They could have heard that his next album will be amazing (haven't there whispers about it since month ??? and all there are so many great collaborators) and they thought that they wanted him on the show and if his album really is a big success, they can say "we have always supported him". I think they wanted to be sure, they are on board if Adam becomes a megastar. I also think Adam would have performed there his first single if he had released it in November. For the same reasons. But I know nothing. Aralid, I think your conjecture sounds very possible. Mend the bridge now, so he can come back next year and perform in his full glory. I mean Gaga may not have a new album to pimp next time, nor Katy, Bruno(?), not Adele. Hmmm, maybe they are thinking about who might be on the scene in one year. |

Canadian lurker here. I am on the map but in the wrong spot. My flag is in the middle of Saskatchewan. I actually live in Guelph, Ontario, not too far from Toronto.
Just wanted to say I love the title Trespassing. Can't wait to hear the album and I'm also excited to see Adam on the AMA's tomorrow.

Can I hope Adele will beat Gaga? and is it possible that the success of his performance at the EMA's get ABC/Dick Clarck change their mind and invite him back to AMA? Bringing this over to add my completely pie-in-the-sky-never-gonna-happen-random-brainstorm dream idea, that because Adele can't sing at these awards because she is recovering, she has guest performer(s) singing one or more of her three singles, and one is Adam...  I've always said, "If you're gonna dream, dream big." It would be even better if your "dream" was a prophecy. Chances? Not great, but sounds like a lovely scenario. By the way, like that he is sitting close to Heidi and Seal, increases comfort factor, which Adam probably doesn't need, but it will do wonders for me. |

I just went to Amazon music.. front cover three deluxe albums for sale Adam's CD in the middle. don't know how to bring over.

Am I the only one that is hoping that they just let bygones be bygones and that they just let that infamous performance be the elephant in the room and have them not mentioned a thing about it? I still have PTSD from that performance and everytime its mentioned I just ff, scroll, bypass the convo, and if they include it somehow in his script, I really don't care how much I love Adam and how good he'll probably look, I won't care to watch.
I know I'm being a bit dramatic, but I really hate that performance. And no, I don't think it'll be great if he has a "scripted" kiss on stage. I think that'll be cheesy, stupid, and akin to the media making a joke out of it and him, and just keeping it fresh in peoples mind of the gay dude who kisses dudes on T.V.
I want him to move forward not backward.

Can I just say that DMG is doing an amazing job?!!!! Having Adam present at the amas is so full of win!
Now...what will he wear? What will his hair look like?? Who will he present with, and which award will he present. Adam has so many friends in the biz, it would be great if his co-presenter is someone he knows and has great chemistry with!

I think it is a safe bet that there will be some kind of scripted reference to last time Adam was on the AMAs... the only question for me is what it will be and whether he will be presenting alone or with someone else. Oh and the much more important question WHAT WILL HE WEAR! How about presenting with Heidi and singing with Seal? That would cover all the bases. |
