NoAngel, I loved your thoughts on gratitude and the example of it that Adam provides! Q3- loved Adam in Wonderland And thanks to Usagi and all of you who translate articles for us! I really enjoyed seeing the picture of those of you who got together and had so much fun. I've never been part of a fandom or an on-line community before, and I just want to express my gratitude for everyone I have met and come to know through this one, virtually and in person. I am always surprised at how much I do feel I know those of you who post regularly! Thanks to Gelly and Rheimer :D for the pictures that sometimes keep us going on slow days and for each one of you here and for your excellent posts - your humor, your intelligence and knowledge, your birthday wishes, your wisdom, your activism, your support, your international perspectives, and of course, your love for Adam. Something in Adam, in his music, his talent, his personality, his struggle, his philosophy, in his bright soul, as Anjalee so beautifully stated, speaks to something in each one of us that drew us here originally and that still keeps us connected today and invested with each other and with him. There are so many bright souls here. Thanks for warming mine so delightfully and so regularly. Thanks for expressing what I want to express but failed, and said it so beautifully.

Perhaps the 2 biggest surprises to me about "Trespassing" are: 1. Claude Kelly and Dr. Luke are responsible for the second Adam Lambert lead single. First, FYE, now BTIKM. (The new single is a song that is much better suited to Adam's voice.) 2. There is no mention of Max Martin or Shellback and "Trespassing". Perhaps Adam never worked with Max and/or Shellback on a track for this album? Odd to have the two people responsible for the single that missed, get the lead single, while the two people who brought Adam his two hits are not represented. Adam said there were a few surprises on the album -- maybe there is a track from Max/Shellback. It could be the Bonnie McPhee/Oliver Goldstein track (Bonnie often works with Max Martin and with Bennie Blanco). I really don't find the Claude/Dr. Luke correlation strange at all. I see it more as a coincidence. I imagine Adam and RCA had all the potential singles and (as he's said over and over, they analyzed and agonized over what should be released first). Claude and Dr. Luke have had plenty of songs on the charts and lots of hits over the past two years (that sound nothing like FYE). It was decided that BTIKM was the most strategic lead-off single after taking into account ALL the material he's produced for this album. I hope they're right. The primary duty of Single No. 1 is to get him CHR play. I've always loved FYE as a song and especially as a video, but they underestimated the conservativism of the radio PDs, who were probably looking for an excuse not to play it, especially after the AMAs. I still contend that if it was recorded and released by Britney, who was the original, intended artist (I think), radio would have eaten it up. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!!!!AMAs, Whooo hoooo!!!! Full circle realness !!

I kinda wish they would release a little snippet so all the hand wringing can either be put to rest and/or those who think they won't like it can have their feelings validated and we can all agree to disagree LOL.
But mostly because I really really wanna hear it.
On a semi related note, does anyone have any examples of mid-tempo singles that have done really well? I am racking my brain but I dunno what exactly would qualify.....I'm thinking Bruno Mars "The Way You Are" is mid tempo, yes? No? Other examples? I'd say Kelly Clarkson's new song too but that's not exactly lighting the charts on fire....

BFM conversation is closed -- posting this at top of the thread so it is noticed.I have no doubt that Adam will feel the hypocrisy of it. But he's smart, he knows how to get along with industry peeps, he knows he doesnt have to fight every battle. I love this interview that He did after the AMA's. And I do think Adam knows He has to play the game with the industry people to get where He needs to go. Lulu - thanks for posting this interview, this is Adam at his best! I love everything he says here, and he is looking so gorgeous as he says it. Flirting with the interviewer and the camera, you could tell he was proud of that performance, and feeling good about himself. I don't remember ever seeing his performance on Letterman, was it also cancelled? Did he sing WWFM? Anyone have the YT of it?

Lulu2365, there is no indication that Adam's release of info about his album and single is being driven by BFM. They have a very carefully planned promotional schedule -- go to the UK and generate buzz there and treat the UK/EU press and radio PDs to a sneak preview, EMA performance with QUEEN, tweet the info to fans, AMA promotion with Adam presenting, press gets advance info on album and single. And so on.
From the standpoint of the new release, BFM is not important. And the Idol claim was just BS --- the press already moved on. They shot their big "news" and no one came to the party.
I completely understand the anger about BFM and the hope that no one will buy it. But it appears it will be released. Some people will look at the listing on Amazon or iTunes. The album will be mentioned by reviewers -- it has happened two times now. So IMO the best course is to present BFM with the facts and to position it to help build Adam's career. Cassie did it brilliantly in her review. It is certainly more helpful than some of the posts on Amazon that merely say "Don't buy this bastard album." and provide no explanation.

Well I object to funding the Betrayal for Money CD. It's no accident that Adam has release details of His new music just days before the release of the B*stard CD to fight and try to bury the news coverage of the CD and how He shouldn't have been on idol in the first place. In a time when Adam should have to think of nothing else but His new music He's at His lawyers office signing legal documents. >:( Any talk of supporting BFM just pisses me off. Sorry Just My Opinion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @karmalovesgumbo Adam waived the requirement that he be personally served w the complaint in the lawsuit. twitdoc.com/MRPtwitter.com/#!/KarmaLovesGumbo/status/137677073023119360 @quailing @karmalovesgumbo makes sense -he doesn't want to be chased by process servers, it's annoying plus it makes it look like he's afraid of suit. in reply to @quailing ª @karmalovesgumbo @quailing Although, he could have just designated his attorney to receive it for him. twitter.com/#!/KarmaLovesGumbo/status/137686502464425984 I also object to funding the bottom feeders who are using and suing Adam. As I stated at the start, my preference would be for this never to be released. However, it will be. Fans can disuade some people from buying it by posting the truth at Amazon and iTunes, and in response to mentions by radio stations and print media. But, others will still buy it. Therefore, I am looking for the best way to frame the release and make clear that Adam, even on a crappy recording, is an exceptional artist. I do not want Adam to have to endure slams and criticism of this recording from well-meaning fans trying to denounce it. Do you know what I mean? Cassie, this is the perfect way to denounce it without denouncing Adam! I hope it gets read by thousands of people.

It is just as the karma has it - the timing came out perfect for both ;D *** UNIVERSE IS ON ADAM"S SIDE ***I am sure the album will sell - the general public would not know or might nor care about the controversy - same way as I would not care about the back story concerning any other artist. On the selfish side - if anyone has download links - please PM, I am missing two songs from the BFM and I absolutely want to have every single one. Atlanta party ladies - wow! you had a great time and even entertained the whole of ATOP! Awesome and thank you! Isn't it wonderful to be part of this joyous community? ETA: Q3 said the same thing = we agree

Has anyone addressed the question of if Adam was added as a "last minute" presenter because of the success of his EMA performance with Queen? Do we know when he was asked to be a presenter? Has it been in the works and just a well kept secret, or was it due to the EMA's? Maybe yall already talked about this?
