I kinda wish they would release a little snippet so all the hand wringing can either be put to rest and/or those who think they won't like it can have their feelings validated and we can all agree to disagree LOL. But mostly because I really really wanna hear it. On a semi related note, does anyone have any examples of mid-tempo singles that have done really well? I am racking my brain but I dunno what exactly would qualify.....I'm thinking Bruno Mars "The Way You Are" is mid tempo, yes? No? Other examples? I'd say Kelly Clarkson's new song too but that's not exactly lighting the charts on fire.... "Rollin' in the Deep" is mid-tempo -- 105 beats per minute. "I Got Feeling" is the top end of mid-tempo -- 128 beats per minute. WWFM is 93 beats per minute. ETA: Current #1 pop track is mid-tempo --- David Guetta - Without You ft. Usher (128 bpm). It also has the same stutter beat track that seems to be on the demo. I expect that BTIKM may be more like this track than anything else on the current Top 40.

Has anyone addressed the question of if Adam was added as a "last minute" presenter because of the success of his EMA performance with Queen? Do we know when he was asked to be a presenter? Has it been in the works and just a well kept secret, or was it due to the EMA's? Maybe yall already talked about this? there was a short discussion yesterday.. I think they were holding a spot for him to perform, but the single/album delay caused the presenter spot. THEY CANNOT IGNORE ADAM ANY MORE! I really don't think the EMAs played any role - he was on the roster way before that IMO.

It appears that Adam was a planned presenter -- but that they held the announcement until now. He was on the seating chart long before the announcement, it was just not released. They would only have him in the 2nd row (row 5) from the stage and on the aisle if he was presenting and needed easy stage access.

chartrigger.blogspot.com/2011/11/adam-lambert-announces-better-than-i.htmlAdam Lambert Announces "Better Than I Know Myself" Single, 'Trespassing' Album
I've really grown to dig Adam Lambert as an artist over the past two years. Publicly, he doesn't trash his American Idol past, but he's also managed to avoid becoming one of the marginalized, bland robots that come out of the show (*cough* Kris Allen *cough). So bravo to the news that Adam's second post-Idol LP Trespassing will be out in the spring, and its lead single "Better Than I Know Myself" will be out — uh, at some point. More

I can't believe it! tre3 is showing the EMA's again and I will watch again but only the Adam part haha! I must have seen this at least 10 times on this station. I hope the general public have been able to catch this magnificent performance. This is also great exposure here in the US where it has been sorely lacking! I of course have it saved on my laptop so maybe I've listened at least 100 times Can't get enough!

The theory I heard was that Adam had a performance slot until his single got pushed back. That's when they added Daughtry to the line up. So Adam got this instead? Not fact at all, but good speculation.

Lulu - I am going to throw my hat in the ring on your take on this. Not that I know anything about the music industry, but to me, it seems like a very good strategy for Adam to FINALLY name his album, and get out the buzz about the new single specifically so it can overshadow and drown out the B4M release on 11/21. Course, securing a spot at the AMA's as a presenter is also brilliant exposure, and if they hadn't announced the name of the album, I think the press would be asking questions about B4M. With the news on the new music, plus the Queen performance just 2 weeks ago, they have plenty to focus on with Adam. It will totally eclipse the release of B4M in the news cycle. I think it has a lot to do with their strategy, cause they needed something, and the AMA appearance is perfect! Plus, naming the title of the album is way overdue, JMHO.

have a new album out soon! Slated for a Spring 2012 release, the American Idol runner-up’s sophomore effort is going to be called Trespassing and that’s not all. Adam tweeted: “Yes! There is a song on Trespassing by the same name… I wrote it with Pharrell.” The 29-year-old entertainer also revealed that the first single off the album is called ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ but has not set a release date just yet. Stay tuned for more details but until then, enjoy our favourite Glambert song ever! hotxpress.com/2011/11/20/adam-lambert-reveals-new-album-details/

BFM conversation is closed -- posting this at top of the thread so it is noticed.I kinda wish they would release a little snippet so all the hand wringing can either be put to rest and/or those who think they won't like it can have their feelings validated and we can all agree to disagree LOL. I'd say Kelly Clarkson's new song too but that's not exactly lighting the charts on fire.... "Rollin' in the Deep" is mid-tempo -- 105 beats per minute. Bruno Mars has lots of mid-tempo hits. Grenade is right at about 110 beats per minute. Lazy Song comes in around 80-90 beats, and Billionaire has much the same beat. His new single "It Will Rain" is slower, perhaps considered a ballad, but, it has a strong beat. Yup, Bruno is the kind of mid-tempo.
