BFM, won't outsell Daughtry. Most likely it won't sell much. But I do think the JD fans are in for a rude awakening! Their number projections have been pretty funny. Which is weird because the single sales and album pre-sales, on i-tunes, have been really low. ??? I totally agree about the choreography for the FYE performance on the AMAs. It was awful! Not meant for someone who is singing live.

I remember how upset I felt at the response of ABC TV to a mere 1500 outraged viewers back in 2009. I couldnt bear to look at Adam's face as it dawned on him during his post performance interviews, that he had caused controversy and backlash. His subsequent stand and refusal to apologise was heartening.
I think this invitation to Adam to be a presenter is probably a good thing. A sign of a re-recognition of Adam's talent. This Dick Clarke guy does not impress me at all. But its possible his disingenuousness will serve Adam. A sort of "letbygonesbebygones" message. A "lets move on" story.
I have no doubt that Adam will feel the hypocrisy of it. But he's smart, he knows how to get along with industry peeps, he knows he doesnt have to fight every battle.
One of the underlying insights: the days of the artistic genius who gets it on merit alone are gone, if they ever existed in our world. Music is an industry like everything else. You need alliances, partners, mentors, patrons, champions. Sometimes alliances with the most sleazy people. (as long as they are not part of your inner circle that you trust). The trick is to keep your integrity through it all while you navigate shark infested waters.
I may be talking like this because i just came back from seeing "Ides of March".
Final thought: I have so much trust in Adam that he will stay true to himself. His soul is so bright.

I agree. It would have been difficult for a musical theater performer who had weeks of rehearsal time, and I don't think even they would attempt it.
I think Adam said recently--OUT article-- that even though collaborators' (choreographer, producer, etc) hearts were in the right place, he got "bad advice" about the performance. It was ambitious, but after the great FYE video ( still my fave) and performing with KISS and Queen, he probably was feeling quite invincible. That plus adrenalin, and the rest is history.
I can't wait to see what he wears. Since it is a work night, I wonder if Sauli will come.

OoooooKkkkkk! As much as I hate the release of BFM, I have to say this review is pretty funny! And in a strange way, satisfying! ;D IKR.. and I am wondering what we do should BFM out sell (that 1st week anyways) all the others .... I am not happy about the existence of the CD.. but, now it lives. If it gets shot down.. will it hurt Adams reputation? Only we know all the back story about it. ETA.. I don't think what I said here makes sense.. lol.. I don't want it to sell ..just because of who is putting the CD out there.. but, on the other hand I do want it to out sell the first week all others ...because lets face it.. they put Adams name on it.. *sigh* I am still at a loss at how they can put, as they put it (a voice for hire) so prominately on the cover as Adam Lambert! Just smacks of false advertisement. Adam never got a chance to put his spin on anything! The songs were finished without his imput. So for me, thats the only problem I have. I do know what you mean about wanting it to be positively received because it does have his name on it. Talk about being put it a box with no escape!!!

It is a very good article about Adam I try to summarize it. Adam Lambert through twitter announce his new CD "trespassing" and he co-elaborate with super producer like Pharrell Williams. The new album will be very honest, real and this CD is where he find himself. It will be slightly different from the the fun dancey FYE. Last paragraph: Adam Lambert was born 1982 Jan 28, runner up from AI season 8. First openly gay to have signed by a major record label. Adam was #3 on BB first week sale for FYE sold 200 thousands. Up to Jan this year FYE was sold 1.2 millions and he also nominated as best male vocalist on Grammy 2010. I like the photo they use

Can Adam sue them back for defamation of character they brought in i.e. AI ? I really want Adam and his lawyers to do that.. >:(
