Q3- in the interest of accuracy I feel compelled to mention that Adam performed Pick U Up during the sound check at the Hard Rock show in Hollywood Florida on September 19, 2010. A very few of us inside waiting for the meet and greet were privileged to hear it and it was sublime. OH! I need a recording!!!>!?!?!?!?!?!??!? Does anyone have one? There was no recording made. There were only maybe five of us standing there- we kind of looked at each other with big bug eyes, afraid to interrupt the moment by even speaking. When it was done I said something to the effect of "we all realize that we just heard something no one else has ever heard" and the others just nodded. It was not a very talkative bunch, at least not at that point. I wrote about it in my recap: So as I and maybe 5? Other VIPers were waiting we heard the sound check with Adam singing, and by God he was singing Pick U Up live. This was my absolute favorite song off the original album (since eclipsed by Can’t Let You Go, but not by much) and it has always been a disappointment to me and many other fans that we don’t ever get to see it performed live. But we got it at sound check!! The vocals were spot on, the band was not. To my uneducated ear it sounded as if part of sound check works with individual instruments and then part focused on vocals, and this was a vocal focus. The band (minus Monte if I am not mistaken) was just kinda sorta hitting chords and made no attempt to stay on beat or hit their marks. But the singing was sublime and he did the entire bridge as was done on the album. I made it a point to listen closely to that part as we have always assumed that the difficulty of that portion was the reason it isn’t done live, but he did it and he did it marvelously. The band plodded along and at the “All my life” time they came in at the wrong moment which spoiled the effect, but the vocals were right there.

Even if its not sanctioned by Adam, BFM still gets the better review from this entertainment columnist. THE EDGE Boston Herald.com Idol Releases Handcuffed to ConventionBy Jed Gottlieb Sunday, November 20, 2011 bostonherald.com/entertainment/music/general/view/2011_1120idol_releases_handcuffed_to_conventionNot surprisingly, the most interesting rock release by an “Idol” alum this week is a pre-“Idol” recording. Recorded with Lambert buddy and Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman, “Beg for Mercy” sounds genuine. The mix of glam, Goth and Hot Topic emo has the sass and swagger missing from Lambert’s debut, “For Your Entertainment.” It’s not amazing, but at least it’s unshackled.OoooooKkkkkk! As much as I hate the release of BFM, I have to say this review is pretty funny! And in a strange way, satisfying! ;D

If anyone is interested in viewing the 2009 AMA rehearsal - here it is: (Don't worry it is safe I think you will enjoy it) I absolutely love this song on the CD. I can really rock out to it! But live its not a great song to sing. This production had too much going on. Whenever I see it I cringe. Who ever produced this number was thinking about the routine and not Adam!

If anyone is interested in viewing the 2009 AMA rehearsal - here it is: (Don't worry it is safe I think you will enjoy it) Im sorry but this still makes me cringe... :-[ Its obvious even at the rehearsal that the choreography and the stage set up is way too complicated and would compromise his vocals... I wonder why no adjusments were made..they must have had time to practice before this rehearsal as well... Oh well. its all bridge under water, and turned out positive in the end so *shrug*

Who ever produced this number was thinking about the routine and not Adam! I love the song period- it screams "ADAM!" to me. The only time I heard him sing it live and liked it was at the final GNT shows, but by that point those of us in the audience would have loved hearing him sing row row row your boat.

Showing off our Adam mugs that were one of the presents in the gift bags bamafan brought us. This is the whole group except for Mr. mangokat, Mr. mayumi and Justwishin. Justwishin had taken her tongue to bed. ;D glamtealady and sandysva have their eyes closed cause they're meditating over their tongue tea. Oh ladies how I missed being there - I was there in spirit - thinking of you all weekend and even waking up this morning wondering what was on your agenda todayl Sounds like you had a BLAST! See you in the spring! Me, too. I was with my DD yesterday at book club, and she said, "I'm sorry you didn't get to go to Mayumi's this time, Mom. Last time you chattered about Adam and them for a week." Is it bad when your daughter says, "Were Bama, Smokey and the Mangocats there?". *methinks I may go on about you all a little too much. Refuses to hang head in shame.* Babs12 and I get together and talk so much, my DD, SIL, and son now inquire about her on a regular basis. Miss you guys. Savvy and Toni, too.

I am not happy about the existence of the CD.. but, now it lives. If it gets shot down.. will it hurt Adams reputation? Only we know all the back story about it. ETA.. I don't think what I said here makes sense.. lol.. I don't want it to sell ..just because of who is putting the CD out there.. but, on the other hand I do want it to out sell the first week all others ...because lets face it.. they put Adams name on it.. *sigh*

The rehearsal sounded like it started ok. The TV performance sounded off key from the beginning. I still don't like this very much, though it's better than the televised performance.

Great essays today! Q3, I will join you down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass! It is SO GREAT to see Adam finally getting the love and respect he deserves! No Angel -- such gratitude! Ditto this!!!!!
