Comparisons to Adam Lambert's voice: Don't even go there! I think that different people actually hear sound, music and voices differently. Perhaps it is akin to how people taste things differently. Some of it is due to experience with the foods, and foods one grows up with, some is due to texture rather than taste at all, and some is due to difference in chemical receptors in the tongue and the nose. In the same way what we appreciate in music is influenced by what we heard growing up, what we were trained with, what the singer looks/acts like, and what our ears hear and our bodies feel when we experience the sound vibrations. Having said that, Adam's voice is qualitatively different from other singers. Much of it is technique, much of it is interpretation, and much of it is anatomy and physiology. Depending on how one experiences that voice, one may love it or be turned off by it. But, make no mistake. There is NO ONE in music that I have heard, across genres, who currently sounds like Adam. NO ONE. My music theory, my musical experience, and my visceral reaction to the voice make it my favorite to listen to. I imagine most folks on this forum react the same. But, like it or hate it, it is one of a kind. Cassie - this deserves to be shown in marquee size, surrounded by bright flashing lights!! I have recently found it almost impossible to listen to other singers...even watch/listen to videos posted here on Adamtopia. I get through a minute or so, say to myself "nope, not nearly as special as Adam" and shut them off. He's really spoiled me for any other singers - his voice just melts my bones!! |

I'm still trying to find out what these "frogs" are? And the avis too? Is this some exclusive club?  Kagmel, I don't see frogs.  Are they avis? Where are they? |

q3, about the release of Aftermath, I didn't see some tweets posted. But didnt someone say it will be released in 30 days, or was that tweet shot down? cuz when that was posted, it was around the 23nd of Feb, and 30 days from that would be around the DVD release. Kagmel, about an exclusive club, we had a conversation about this yesterday ..... here I watched this last night, but didn't watch the judges comments. Did you also notcie his deep, cleansing breaths afterwards too? I hadn't noticed before. I guess he was nervous. His last note is incredible. Absolutely no "scream" there. Just beautiful!
