I'm sitting here watching over a sick relative and came across this (Welsford mouthpiece) Eric Mayron's Twitter (emayron). He was the one who spammed the BFM Amazon page under a fake name until he screwed up and posted under his real name, then kept spamming any way. Now he's claiming via Twitter that Adam doesn't have a cd coming out and that Citizen Vein was not a band (in other words, he's trying to say that the marketing of the cd as an Adam Lambert cd is not misleading because it's ALL Adam and that BFM is Adam's new cd because it's the only cd coming out.) Beyond everything, I'm just wondering at the business plan going on here. What sort of marketing genius thinks insulting the performer and his notably loyal fans is an effective way to sell product? Carrieb, who is this Mayron person? If he is involved with the business end of BFM, this is crossing the line into deceptive trade practices and becomes actionable by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). From the FTC website: The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive advertising in any medium. That is, advertising must tell the truth and not mislead consumers. A claim can be misleading if relevant information is left out or if the claim implies something that's not true. For example, a lease advertisement for an automobile that promotes "$0 Down" may be misleading if significant and undisclosed charges are due at lease signing. I'm sure Adam/RCA's lawyers know all this and much more. As for your other question ... none of this has made much sense from the beginning. It's one of the worst examples of lose-lose thinking I've ever seen, and I've seen a few. :( It's my guess (and it's only a guess) that Mayron's tweets may have given us a glimpse of their strategy. They might be intending to argue that they were not intending to mislead or defraud the public by labeling BFM as an Adam Lambert release by trying to prove that Citizen Vein was not a band. It sounds from Mayron's tweets and other postings that they are intending to argue that it was all Adam all the time and the other members of the band were nothing more than Adam's backing musicians. I'll speculate further that this ploy may be why Monte deleted his long posting about why he wanted the cd released -- because that posting indicated his musical ownership of, pride in, and financial reward to be gained from the materials beyond that of a co-writer. His postings (and interviews) to that effect are problems for Welsford if he wants to claim BFM is an Adam Lambert cd. If this is indeed their strategy, I would think Adam's legal team is busily assembling documentation that CV was indeed a band, even if they only played three gigs and were paid in tequila shots. They may further intend to argue that they were not intending to mislead or defraud the public by labeling BFM as Adam Lambert's new release by (foolishly) asserting that since Adam's Sony/RCA cd is not imminent, BFM is, by default, his new release and therefore labeling it as such is truthful. Mayron (and his girlfriend Shanna) were the ones going around to comments of all of Adam's articles and posting links to BFM from the beginning. He blew it once and posted under his own name, but didn't stop him, he continued to post posing as a "Glambert" (I have a friend who knew his fake name, but don't remember off the top of my head, atm). I've known about Mayron for a while. Someone who realized what he was up to but didn't know how to screencap asked me if I would cap his followers. This was maybe second week in October. At the time, he followed 33 people; one was Monte. The rest were mostly "non-personal" accounts – celebrities, comedians, etc. From all accounts, he and Monte have been in cahoots for quite some time. The caps are a little large, but if I reduce, they'll be illegible. If anyone wants them, PM me. I think his girlfriend is Shana Kemp. (Yes, I have nothing to do but play detective while playing nurse and my "patient" is sleeping but I have to be ready to assist. I actually got interested in this due to the blurb I read about the lawsuit in People I read while waiting outside the operating room and trying to distract myself.) I think Mayron was originally posting as Marco (or that was one of his aliases). In one of the comment sections on BFM on Amazon, he said (under his own name): Posted on Nov 9, 2011 8:09:47 AM PST Last edited by the author on Nov 14, 2011 7:16:02 PM PST Eric Mayron says: Yes, loved the performance. Last time I heard Adam sing We Are The Champions, I played piano behind him and no one knew who he was yet. Had a great time at that gig for sure. Posted on Nov 9, 2011 11:09:10 AM PST Eric Mayron says: It wasn't mine but I did a total re-arrangement of it (like most of the stuff on Beg For Mercy). It was ultimately my "audition." www.amazon.com/ATTENTION-album-EVIL-even-fans/forum/Fx34ZAG1O7NM6J3/Tx363DVFKYNOO9W/1/ref=cm_cd_dp_ef_tft_tp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B005OLUOT2

Tiny pic of Adam alongside Camilla Belle and Jessica Alba. Newsweek page 17. Just another sign that he is near a household name. : )

Get out your stickers guys... the "lead guerilla" has shown the way! Hope fandom picks this up and runs with it and Braying for Money will DOA in no time.
Damn I love subversives - has been the main part of Adam's appeal for me from the get go (well astounding voice and other attributes aside) :-)

I hope he will help to promote Trespassing in Ireland. He is from the UK not Ireland, North Yorkshire -- and he is not a major figure. He plays small clubs, community centres, weddings and the like. Seems like a very nice man who has great taste in music -- since he now loves Adam. ETA: Seeing the numbers for Daughtry [huge fall off from his last two albums -- US week one sales for Daughtry (2006) was 304K, LTT (2009) was 269K] and James, errrrrrg. Adam really need to put out some music radio supports.

I would not buy either of them. Actually Kelly's album streamed there, too. Wonder if they will do that for Adam (I'm not sure this is a good thing altho I bought Crystal's album after listening to it).

Supposedly Daughtry has a bigger fan base than Adam, than what #'s can we realistically expect? ???

Well I screwed up the about quote from adamme. Like I say, I thought Daughtry has a bigger fan base than Adam, are we setting our expectations in sales too high. I'm nervous now. I so want him to sell as large as Adele. A girl can dream can't she?
