Hits Predicts from MJ: Daughtry – Break the Spell – 140-150k * James Durbin – Memories of a Beautiful Disaster – 20-25k *Billboard predicts Daughtry to sell 120K Both of these albums are streaming on CD Listening Party and I listened to them. I would not buy either of them. Actually Kelly's album streamed there, too. Wonder if they will do that for Adam (I'm not sure this is a good thing altho I bought Crystal's album after listening to it). There was a stream for Glamnation, so I guess it's possible.

OK Now I'm getting depressed, just chatting w/my incognito Adam fan, and she predicts sales to fall around 50,0000! WHAT????? that is ridiculous! I'm shooting for at least 100,000. Unrealistic?
Hope not

I remembered Lyndsey got to hear the whole FYE way few weeks before it was released, I wonder if she will get to hear Trespassing now.

Hope not Makes no sense to forecast album sales for an album that we have not even heard and that does not have a release date. That said, I will go out of a limb. Unless he is up against new releases by two megastars (none scheduled for March 2012 now), Adam will have the #1 or #2 album in the US and will sell more than 100K. Daughtry's and James' albums are just boring. Daughtry sounds like his first two albums but not as good. And James is just moderated light-rock, alt rock stuff. Really no reason to buy either. I am sure that Trespassing will be something NEW and NEXT. And there is no way Adam can do meh.

Hope not If the music is half as good as all the people who have heard it say it is, it should take off. Also, Adam seems to be crossing genres, working with the most respected people in their fields. So when Pharrell, Rico and Nile say a song is great, don't you think that will pull some weight? And - the PDs and DJs seem to be very interested, too. What's not to be happy about? Worrying won't do us a bit of good. I'm expecting a national and international hit! Of course I know nothing - but *feel* 2012 is gonna be fun!

But not until we have something to forecast from -- like music.

Given how we saw the "#3 album" descriptor in a million articles that mentioned FYE, I really hope Trespassing is released in a week where it's not up against anything significant. I know it's all relative, but I'd like to see it referred to as the "#1 album" of its release week.
