I never get tired of the Freddie-only people, either, when they suddenly wake up and are stunned, astonished and gob-smacked by Adam's amazing-ness. Each day he is gaining new fans. Hopefully these new fans will buy tickets to see him on his solo tours. That's where your dedication and commitment really counts. The TSMGO doc is worth its weight in gold. The Freddie only people have missed out on years of concerts I bet they wished they'd been to. Their loss!!!!! What's the old saying, don't bite your nose off to spite your face!! No sympathy!!!!! Only makes it easier and cheaper for us to get Tickets 😜 ther loss!!

If I Can't Have You is one of my favorites from Idol. He bent the rules and sang a disco song in a non-disco style. One of many times he did things "his way" on the show. I was hooked from the moment I laid eyes on him at his audition.
He really upped the game for everyone on Idol. Season 8 was a turning point for the show because of Adam. There was the comment going around that he "broke Idol." Well, in a way, he did. And no one on the show since has even come close, IMO. I know I'm biased, LOL. There have been some really good singers on the show since Adam, but not one has had that special something that makes you stand out and become a real star. He's a "history books" kind of singer. He'll always be there, not forgotten.

And as for Michael Orland, he adores Adam. And Adam was the first contestant to ever thank Michael publicly on the show. Adam has real class.

http://instagr.am/p/CCZFI_uB5KT One of the comments.. thaddyboooYes!! I remember one time during this season I was driving Adam from CBS to the recording studio and he begged me to make a stop between to get a “very specific” blue dye from his friends salon. You know we aren’t supposed to detour while en route with talent, but I gave in and made the salon stop and he literally jumped out and then back into the car quicker than lightening, and thanked me a million times over for doing that for him. He truly showed me that he respected mine and everyone’s time and was taking this process seriously. Right down to the specific blue hair dye. 🕺💯🙌 Love him.

I felt like Paula that day. That performance along with Tracks Of My Tears are two of my all time Idol favorites.

TOMT was my absolute favorite Idol performance...he was flawless on that song. It still gives me goosebumps.
I wasn't as wowed by Mad World as the rest of the world lol, but loved the setting he chose.
He was just so unpredictable, and that made him so exciting...besides the crazy good voice.

TOMT was right after ROF, and the combination of the two sent me down the rabbit hole for good haha. I liked "Mad World" but I didn't go nuts over it like most viewers. I think Simon's standing ovation back then has also made it a safe pick, even to this day (though I understand the relevance of the message currently).
