. Residency in Vegas?! It was pain to watch how many tickets were still available, same with Wembley gig. QAL is either over or close to be over. Adam has a last chance to establish his solo career by association with Queen. His solo tour should be more important than Queen tour.He has enough money to stop focusing on Queen and starts worrying about his solo career. You are not holding back, are you? Lol. You seem upset, and I can see where you are coming from. But in the end it is up to Adam to decide how he wants to navigate his career and where he wants to put his energy. Two side by side projects are probably more challenging to handle successfully than we can imagine. It looks like he has been locked in with Queen for next year already, and it is very unfortunate that "Velvet" has not gotten a proper treatment (yet). I too am mourning Adam's solo career a bit right now. Not sure if it is delusional to simply hope that something will still come out of this stellar album. dominica, why so negative all the time. Just enjoy our Adam! His career is his responsibility and he seems happy with where he's at!

Ahh, I see we're starting the morning with our own personal ray of sunshine. Good point, Melliemom. People have been trying to make Adam a has-been since the beginning. And here he is, 11 years later, and still going strong. Two careers at the same time. Not too shabby...keep on singing, Adam. We love you. Certainly agree, svca and Melliemom! I seem to remember Cassie comparing Adam's voice to a Ferrari when he is singing with Queen. (He also sounds like that at times when singing his solo material or other covers). So many of Queen's songs are incredibly demanding, and require a voice with such range and power - voila! our Adam! I for one am thrilled that he is handling two challenging careers at the same time. I have found a new and wonderful appreciation for Queen since Adam has been serving as their frontman, and thanks to their collaboration, I've had the opportunity to see Adam many more times live in concert. And you can't discount the glory of hearing his voice in huge arenas with thundering crowds, screams and applause. Yes, as svca says, keep on singing Adam. We love you!!

If you made a ton of money,I believe this to be true.. Flew all over the world in a private jet ,slept in the most gorgeous hotels in the world, ate the best food ,was best friends with the most famous musicians in the most famous band on the earth and was their solo artist to boot,Had wild appreciative audiences of up to 50,000 and more and was loved for doing it. You knew that this couldn't last forever because Brian and Roger are getting too old to continue for years on end, while you are still young and can still have a solo career, what would you do? I too want Adam out front and on the top of the charts with his own solo career. I love all of Adam's albums ,especially Velvet, but life doesn't seem to be cooperating. Everyone of Adam's albums have met up with difficulties, this being the worst.....so the above with Queen doesn't seem to be anything but pretty wonderful,IMHO Adam isn’t that young, he doesn’t have a big label behind him, Empire doesn’t seem to care. Within two years Queen will be over what then? Even now he wasn’t close to sell Vegas or Wembley... Well then Adam will have enough money to do whatever he wants.. He said he wants to try being behing the scenes at some point.. Creative people create so Adam will create the life he wants.... as he always has

It’s not two side by side projects it’s one project named QUEEN. Every artist who released album this year postponed tour to the next year. Adam should do the same. His solo career is occasional gig when he’s not busy with Queen. Adam should do what Adam wants to do, not what fans - discontented or not - have decided he should do. He has worked very hard to have the luxury of that choice, and he is fortunate to have it. It is not up to us to judge the value of what he gains from his work with QAL, or of what he may be sacrificing when he devotes his time to it. As fans, our power is, and should be, limited to whether we want to stick around or not in light of what he chooses to do. Personally, I'm much happier with Solo!Adam than QAL!Adam, so the fate of the Velvet era has been a bitter pill. I'm sure it has been for him as well. But if he has other plans that preclude him from trying to tour with the album next year, QAL or not, I'll respect that choice even if I wish it were different. In the end, he's the one who will have to live with the decisions he has made, for good or for ill. It's his career and his life. We're just along for the ride - unless and until we choose not to be.

Adam had no control over what happened with Velvet. But he is unlikely to start getting to the top of the radio charts in the US virus or not, at this point in his career. Queen or not. But Queen is part of his career/life for however long it lasts. He did not ask anyone for their permission. He certainly in not taking advice from the always negative about him and his career choices. The Vegas Residency was selling well and they had to add another date. Who knows what would have happened closer to the event? Then the virus took over. As for Wembley, events also took over and we don't know how it would have sold as we never got close to the date before everything fell apart. We can be down on Adam's choices but can we at least stop trying to pretend that none of the pandemic horrors played a part in what happened to Velvet and that none of us know that? His promotion in the US and UK were cancelled. Anyone with ANY common sense would know that was important for him. We all want what we want for Adam's career. But most are smart enough to know we don't have a say and matter little. We can buy his music, merch. and attend his concerts or not. But sitting on the sidelines trying to dictate to Adam, with one RANT after another, will be ignored by Adam. He has his instincts, goals, desires and his management team. I doubt he is looking to be the next teen idol or thing. That fantasy should disappear. There are many youngster acts out there to follow if one so desires but I'm not interested in them. So I'll stick with Adam and hope he continues to have a diverse and lucrative career. And of course I will still want to see more QAL and more solo as I enjoy both. That is my choice. I am the only one in charge of what I want to see. May not get it, lol. But not going to pretend that I can tell Adam what he can and can't do with his career. And not going to pretend that I care about someone else's problems and rants with Adam and his choices for HIS career. But he does not have to do what anyone else wants him do. That is just the way it is. And I will support Adam and his career as it is because I can and want to and really enjoy what he is doing with both sides. Do I want even more for him? Sure. But not to the point of being angry and insulting about him. If I felt that way, I would move on to someone more to my liking. Besides, he is doing great and so much better than many. Love him and admire all he has accomplished no matter the roadblocks and bigotry he has faced thru these 11 years.

Is FYE still around, or did it finally collapse under the weight of its own vitriol? Asking for a friend.

This whole conversation does seem oddly familiar LOL
