Just received my prescription Rolling Stone today in the mail. Ran out and got it at the groery store. I got cute little Eddie Van Halen on the cover! (Man, drugs sure did a number on his cuteness!!) After my Crimson Tide beat Auburn YAY! I ran out to my local Books A Million and got mine too. Unsure if my new subscription would start with this issue (Amazon said first issue 1-04-12). Looked at all 4 covers and decided on Jimi Hendrix. lol.

I will go to Walmart to see if they have Eddie on the cover tomorrow ETA: or Bryan May Sorry, BB! I think they make four covers and distribute them evenly. Brian is not on a cover. Eep! I hope he's on the list! I haven't checked. :-/ Ove the pic of the Lamberts!! They are so awesome ;D ;D Brian's on the list #26.. Jimmy is #1

I was just at MJ, on JD's thread I didn't see any Adam's fans who's making fun of him, but whenever there's an Adam thread, his fans will come and making fun of Adam. Aren't we all great?
So, JD told this 200 people on the mall that he's promoting his album at that he 's going to do a secret concert but the venue (Civic Center, Santa Rosa/Cruz and his management's not going to do it unless it's a sold out. Ehhm.. I thought he said he's going to play arena so it shouldn't be a problem to fill in that concert venue for him.
If Adam's going to do a one off concert before Christmas or this NY Eve.. people will fly from all over the country and the world to come and see him

Went to see the movie J. Edgar ---Leonardo di Caprio killed it. He should get an Oscar for this role.
J. Edgar Hoover was brilliant but deeply troubled. He was a Mama's boy who told him that she would rather have a dead son than a son who was a Daffodil (translation: gay). So glad Leila loved and nurtured her Daffodil.
It was so sad that for many decades, Edgar could not accept his sexuality and therefore never had the happiness he should have had with his long time love, Clyde Tolson, a beautiful soul who loved Edgar very much. But I guess that was a different time. I am very thankful that Adam is living his life to the fullest, free and proud!
On a humorous note, Edgar's haircut is very similar to the haircut that shall not be mentioned (although not fully shaven but had the same look). I love Leonardo (not as much as BB tho)!

I just returned from Walgreen's pharmacy and I had two choices of covers. The first magazine I picked up I went to page 20 and there was a bright red ink run thru the top half the page. Same problem with the second, third one was perfect so my cover is Jimi Hendrix. I did not care which cover I had, I did want page 20 to perfect ;D Anyway, just wanted to mention the ink run so everyone checks out page 20 before you leave the store.

Completely OT, but I just heard an interview with Doris Day on NPR. She is releasing her first studio album in 17 years in December. The proceeds from the album will go to her animal protection charity. Sometimes when you don't hear about an older celebrity for awhile, you assume they might not be doing too well, but Ms. Day sounds amazing, both in the interview and the clips from her album. This woman is 87 years old! Here is the interview: Doris Day on NPR Murly - Thanks for posting this. She really does still sound great. I loved the album she did with Andre Previn in 1962. Since it's so slow tonight here's a sampling:

On a positive note (We won't mention that Bama trounced Auburn,) my granddaughter is home from Ohio State and has about 15 friends over for the OSU/Mich then Bama game, and bonfire in back yard. Between end of Bama game and my daughter serving them all dinner, they came into the living room, which I knew they would, as I (conveniently) had the EMA performance on. Only 2 of the 15 had any idea it was Adam singing until the strut during WWRY when 3 more recognized him. They all listened and when rest found out it was "guy who was on Idol,) they were all impressed. Most of them are either country or classic rock fans, but they don't live under a rock, so they know Adam and when I mentioned Pharrell and Sia, they knew who they were. A few of them admitted that they had listened to the Queen vid when I posted it on my granddaughter's Facebook. I don't really do Facebook, but I check hers every few days for new pictures. Anyway, they were shocked that Queen would ask Adam Lambert to sing and that he was so good. Made me happy.

I really enjoyed it, too. Thought both secretary and companion did very well, too. Judith Dentch can do no wrong. The entire way they dealt with Hoovers' cross dressing, was very believable and tastefully done. Hendrix on my cover. Great issue.
