I'm very conflicted about sharing this, but since this is where I spend hours every day, I'm going to. Last night I mentioned my granddaughter's friends seeing the Queen performance and being impressed. At 1 am, while I was still stanning, my son-in-law came in to say goodnight and make a joke about the kids and my campaigning for Adam. We laughed and went to bed. When my daughter woke up this morning, he had died of a brain aneurysm sometime between 5am and 7:30am. He was 11 yrs older than my daughter, one of my best friends (I knew him before my daughter did,) and the absolute nicest guy and best dad in the world. He leaves an 18yr old college freshman, a 15 yr old high school freshman, and a first grader, all of whom adored him. I'm in my room trying to find anything to help me deal with the next 4 or 5 days. There will be no moving back to Myrtle Beach, need to be here to help everyone deal with life. Bottom line, I guess, is live and enjoy your life while you can because we are not guaranteed tomorrow. You all help me enjoy that life every day and I thank you. Oh dear God. These kind of things are SO random and unexplainable. So sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you and your family. Don't let yourselves get caught up in trying to figure out what could have been done to prevent it because that is a dead end road for sure. Sometimes shit happens and it sucks donkey balls, excuse my language. We are here for you. Remember the member news thread if you need to vent and don't hesitate to ask us, your online family for help if you need it.

Oh, Savvy. There are few words to say. Please know when you are in despair, and you come here, you will find a world of friends who will embrace you and help you find your way. The cry in the dark is the one we have learned to heed. We are here, and we love and help each other. Don't feel alone. We have learned to help with the broken pieces. Sending you love . . .

So sorry to hear your news Savvy! Just went to a celebration of life for a friend's husband who died suddenly, and had a guest just yesterday who lost her husband less than a month ago. And now your terrible news, it really reinforces how random life can be and that we can't take anything for granted. Wishing you and your family much strength, and Atopians are always here to give you a big hug and a shoulder to cry on.
