I'm very conflicted about sharing this, but since this is where I spend hours every day, I'm going to. Last night I mentioned my granddaughter's friends seeing the Queen performance and being impressed. At 1 am, while I was still stanning, my son-in-law came in to say goodnight and make a joke about the kids and my campaigning for Adam. We laughed and went to bed. When my daughter woke up this morning, he had died of a brain aneurysm sometime between 5am and 7:30am. He was 11 yrs older than my daughter, one of my best friends (I knew him before my daughter did,) and the absolute nicest guy and best dad in the world. He leaves an 18yr old college freshman, a 15 yr old high school freshman, and a first grader, all of whom adored him. I'm in my room trying to find anything to help me deal with the next 4 or 5 days. There will be no moving back to Myrtle Beach, need to be here to help everyone deal with life. Bottom line, I guess, is live and enjoy your life while you can because we are not guaranteed tomorrow. You all help me enjoy that life every day and I thank you. Savvy, I am so sad right now. I just read this awful news and feel helpless to do anything to ease your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  |
