A good keyboardist can do this too. The WLL at FS was driven by Zac, not Monte. Sorry just my opinion but the band needs a strong lead guitarist to take the musical cues from and the keyboardist is not that person.  Here is the Paris concert. By the time Adam had played the Paris show they had down WWL so much Adam was sick of it, but still when Adam decided to play it that night Tommy need direction from not only Adam but Monte as well. (starts about 2:48) I never said he doesn't need a strong guitarist. I just said that a strong keyboardist can lead also, as Zac did during FS WLL. Adam needs a strong everything so they can keep up with his artistic brain! |

I agree with all those who feel the demo is being shopped around for other singers. It would be great if Adam could start selling some of the songs he isn't using & make a little more $$.
On the band - in this day and age of the internet & ninjas, I don't think the band will ever just be nameless musicians in the background. Other than Adam introducing them at the shows (which I think he just considers good stage manners since they contribute to the show) the band was NOT hyped in any way. They weren't named. They didn't go do interviews WITH Adam and only occasionally were interviewed as "part of Adam's band".
Despite this, all the band members are well known within the fandom (although it took nearly 2 years for the press to start naming TJR as the guy A was kissing). Even if Tommy were gone, as long as there was ANY reasonably good-looking guy in the band, there WILL be shipping/fan-fic/tinhatting. This isn't just an Adam fandom thing - there is a LOT of fanfiction and shipping going on in other fandoms. If Tommy weren't there & Isaac was, there would be shipping there (fanfiction already exists) even though Isaac seems to be happily married. About the only thing that would effectively stop it would be an all-girl band and I doubt that would really fit Adam's vibe or make for ideal tour companions. The ONLY reason there wasn't much Monte shipping was that he is not at all attractive and seems to make an effort to make himself even less attractive! Even without shipping, we still ended up with some cray Monte fans!
That was all just a long winded way of saying that Adam should just pick whoever HE wants for the band - there isn't any point worrying about shipping/tinhatting/crays - it will happen no matter who he picks!

Now I now NOTHING about her except that in the past she was apparently not as bert-y...is this right? I mean is her opinion valid? So if she is berting the fuck out it must be REALLY good as opposed to if someone who was already over the moon were to say that..?? right?? Whatever... SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Yes!!!! The caliber of people berting the fuck out over this album is pretty high, imo, and I am pretty much in perpetual flail mode these days!!!!!!!!!!! LOL the convo today is a beautiful example of why Adam was so right in NOT trying to figure out what his fans want and just going after what he wanted for Trespassing ;D I'm having flashbacks to discussions on PF after the first few performances and a bunch of people HATED the dancers (distracting, bad costumes, tacky moves, etc). People were UP IN ARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then a little while before GNT started Adam tweeted something along the lines of "STFU and STFD, I love my dancers and you will, too!" (not exactly but that was the general idea, lol) And lo and behold, we got dancers, and after a while, most of us came to appreciate or at least not loathe the dancers. And ultimately it was all about Adam anyway cuz he kinda has this charisma thing that makes it difficult to tear your eyes off him onstage. I have my own opinions on Adam's backing musicians, and we can all happily opine to our hearts' content, but ultimately Adam will figure out what works best for him THIS TIME, and that'll be it. As long as Adam doesn't have any people in his entourage that are assholes to him, I'm pretty fine with whatever he decides.  |

This is how I viewed Adam and Tommy's interactions, myself:
They played, they kissed, they barked, licked, bit, and sucked, and they certainly mimicked all sorts of sexual interactions - which I enjoyed: to me Tommy helped Adam to CELEBRATE on stage how fun "seksai" is and to joyfully but pointedly rebuke AMA criticism, and all homophobia in general for that matter.
It was a great part of the show, to me - not the whole show, but fun and meaningful. I have no opinion on what Adam (and Tommy) may or may not do in future shows 'cuz I feel that's up to Adam (and Tommy). That's also how I feel about dancers, musicians,"wardrobe," etc.
I just want Adam to continue to make choices based on what he's feeling, his muse, and his take on the music business. I like the whole "give me what I didn't know I wanted" idea.
As for the "cray" factor - that people would choose to do anything other than just generally accept whatever Adam (or Tommy, etc.) or ANYONE says about their actual personal, private lives/feelings - and then be happy for them - is invasive, rude, and weird. It would be if they actually knew Adam . . . it's even more so because they don't. *Sigh* But people who don't get that never will!
