Well, i dunno... I remember the little clips we got of FYE like it was yesterday... The excitement was crazy, and for me it certainly didn't deaden the anticipation or lessen the impact when we finally got to hear the whole album. I played those little 30-sec snippets FOREVAH!!! : I mean, the next time somebody sends out a smug self-righteous tweet saying, "ooooooh... guess what, losers??!! Just listened to Lambert's new album and get ready to die everybody!!!" I'm gonna hurt somebody. i get a little skeptical about those "Ive just heard heaven. get ready to die" tweets. Maybe not skeptical but i always think its just one person's view. Or in Sony's case: the Sony Imma market this view. FYE got those kinda tweets and yes it done good, real good, in the scheme of things, but im curious about how Adam goes to the next level. The Bruno Mars and Adele level. I really dont think its about the quality of the songs and singers after a point. But what is it? A friend of mine who worked with Clive Davis back in the 80s (?) said Davis told him its not about great songs, its about catching a vibe and tapping into archtypes. Interestingly enough Davis said one of the archetypes that really sells is two lovers against the world. 8-)

[tries to cool my rage by changing the subject...]
Q3... At the end of yesterday's thread you said, "On the Adam-QUEEN at the Olympics fantasy -- I really doubt that they would put an American in such a prominent role at the London Olympics. And I really hope that they do not even ask him, but I am pretty sure that Adam and his management would know that they need to pass on it. Even in the London bid video the London organizing committee boasted about British musical talent. But they are having a hard time putting together a show."
Is this because of the whole DOW CHEMICAL thing? You're thinking it wouldn't look good for Adam if he performed? (even if he were asked?)
And you said, "On the "no" list are the Stones and Led Zeppelin and many others." Again, is this because of DOW??
How about Elton John? Has he refused to perform?

Question from a person who know nothing about this stuff.
You talked yesterday while I was sleeping about this snippet being pulled down.
And some of you said that this song might not be on the album since OOL will be on the album.
Why then did they pulled it out? You used a term like , I don't remember exactly, this site is a site where someone might want to buy these songs for another artist? Maybe this song WILL make it on the album and that's why it's being pulled out? Adam's twitter feed yesterday was filled with the snippet. I'm pretty sure he noticed it. Do I make any sense lol?

My cousin was studying in Bhopal and left two weeks before the Union Carbide disaster.

www.dose.ca/Early+Buzz+Rihanna+Harry+Potter+Lady+Gaga+More/5779804/story.htmlReminding us that he continues to shine on like a crazy diamond, Adam Lambert did an interview with Rolling Stone. In it, the Idol alum talked about how his next album, Trespassing, will feature dubstep sounds (just like everyone else's). He's been working with Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke and Bonnie McKee (who co-wrote Katy Perry's song "Teenage Dream"). more...

Yes, you make sense, gelly! I know nothing about anything, either. It was on the Sony site as a demo or something, then it got pulled/disappeared. Why did it disappear? Nobody knows. For all we know, maybe some other artist/producer "bought it." : Maybe the entire universe was hyperventilating about how it might make the album, and Sony got fed up and took it down. Or, as you say, maybe the song was supposed to end up on the album, and entire thing was a big BIG mistake on Sony's part.

What a public relations disaster if all these artists are kind of boycotting the opening/closing ceremonies because DOW is the sponsor. But then Paul McCartney isn't, so go figure. And I guess Queen isn't?
