Well....when I think of Christmas songs my mind goes to 'Santa Baby' by Eartha Kitt. ;D Love the song and I find Eartha Kitt absolutely fascinating and exotic! She definitely commanded the stage and your attention when she performed. I don't mean for Adam to sing this but it's a fun song.

Everyone has probably moved on but xmas song I would love to hear Adam sing is Little Drummer Boy. Here is a cool version by a couple of guys at an Australian xmas show - can see Adam getting into the theatrics of it...
O Holy Night is good too but there are plenty of awesome non secular xmas songs too.

Oh, now you're just gonna make me sad that we'll never get vid of Adam singing at a Koskinen family gathering, just like we never got vid of Adam singing at Brooke's wedding... Re the Xmas song "debate," I'm also an atheist who loves many Christmas songs. Little Drummer Boy NEVER fails to make me cry! And O Holy Night is incredible when sung by someone who does credit to those notes. I think Adam has been pretty clear that it's a no-go for him, but if he ever changed his mind, I wouldn't judge him for it. And of course I would BUY a copy of that CD right away! Me too! Is it the line " I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum.... " that gets you? That and the end of It's a Wonderful Life... bawling like a baby every year like clockwork. Curious though, who sings the classic version? Last year I tried to find the version I used to hear on the radio and couldn't. None of the others sang that line with the same passion. Some were close with the boys chorus and sounded similar but it drove me crazy trying to find it on youtube with no luck. ~Sappy agnostic Perry Como? Andy Williams?

Although this voting is not THAT important it would be nice if you took one minute and voted here! The German "Bravo"-magazine asks "Who is your star of the week?". You only have to click on the little round button next to Adam and then scroll down and click the "Abstimmen" button! That's all! You can vote once per hour! Thank you! (Sometimes the side opens up a little slowly because of all the commercials!) :-/ www.bravo.de/stars/dein-bravo-de-star-der-wocheAbstimmen! Done! ;D

This is my favorite Little Drummer Boy!
"The Little Drummer Boy" is a popular Christmas song, with words and music by Katherine K. Davis. Henry Onorati and Harry Simeone have been credited with writing the song, even though they were only the arrangers for their recordings of it.

This is my favorite Little Drummer Boy! "The Little Drummer Boy" is a popular Christmas song, with words and music by Katherine K. Davis. Henry Onorati and Harry Simeone have been credited with writing the song, even though they were only the arrangers for their recordings of it. Ahhh... I just came back after searching the internet for this! I think it's the one I've been looking for. Thank you Stardust! Some history I found along the way: This was originally a Czech song which Katherine Davis translated to English in 1941. Dawn Halloran explained to us: "This song was originally published as 'Carol of the Drum,' a traditional Czech carol, by Katharine K. Davis. My father, Jack Halloran, arranged it and recorded it under the same title on his 1957 Dot album, Christmas is A-Comin'. Henry Onorati was a producer for Dot who worked on the project and took the arrangement to Harry Simeone, who had nothing to do with my father's recording. Dot was to put out the single of 'Carol of the Drum' for the Christmas '57 season, but for unknown reasons did not get it out in time. Meanwhile, Onorati took the arrangement to Simeone who hired the same singers, re-recorded it adding finger cymbols and cutting a difficult passage just before the last phrase. It was then put out as a single under the title 'Little Drummer Boy,' by Harry Simeone, Katharine K. Davis and Henry Onorati. I've seen the master recording of the song and it pre-dates Simeone's by a year. And for the record, no one else ever arranged 'for' my father. He was the arranger for other artists."
This was released around Christmas every year from 1958-1962. It made the US Top-40 all 5 years and became a holiday classic.
Another one I came across while looking for this. Maybe Adam could get behind this one? 8-) www.youtube.com/watchv=fb1qMfamgUULove the Eartha Kitt song and many of the others posted. You're all getting me into the holiday groove. Thanks!

Wow all...this is a great start...mind you, how many versions can you have of the Little Drummer boy on one cd even if it is your favorite!!??haha
I am going to do some serious searching now.....there is one my kids loved, back in the 80's that I just can't recall. It was a secular on...I am thinking 'plums' but that could be wrong. This song, and ther Christmas album, was prabably the groups biggest success. Anyone remember?? very catchy song.....gaaahhh...old age....

One of my favorite classics...with Bowie no less...see Adam? This is one of my favorites as well! There is a wonderful version of this on one of the Broadway Cares CDs. If anyone is a fan of Broadway musicals and also enjoys Christmas music, I highly recommend these CDs. The profits go to fighting AIDS. They make a new CD every year. broadwaycares.stores.yahoo.net/holiday-holidaycd.htmlThe Carols for a Cure series is what I buy, though the wonderful version of LITTLE DRUMMER BOY/PEACE ON EARTH by Anthony Rapp & Everett Bradley is on the Home for the Holidays CD. I love Christmas music and I don't even have a religion!
