People were asking in yesterday's thread some question about the Finnish Christmas. The Finns are not very religious, but anyhow "everybody" celebrates the Christmas here. It's more like a tradition than a religious incident. I am not a member of any church. I don't know if Sauli is. I would say that there's a 50/50 possibility that he is. Perhaps somebody else knows. Besides of eating and Santa Claus, music is also an essential part of Christmas here. I guess most people are singing on The Christmas Eve. So, if Adam is coming to Finland for holidays, he can hardly avoid singing here. He could sing with Sauli's sister Saana, who is a really good singer as most of you know. Thanks for all the info, bobo!!  I love hearing about traditions from other cultures! Here in Canada, I never knew any families that actually sang together at Christmas time. I did listen to that vid you posted, and I think Saana has a good voice!  I'm thinking that Sauli's family probably sings traditional Finnish Christmas songs, which Adam won't know.... but I guess he could hum along. LOL |

This is one of my favourite non-secular songs about christmas by Joni Mitchell, not a christmas song. Always gives me chills. Adam would sing this so well (upright style)...
and yes that is Robert Downey Jr singing it...
