Wouldn't it be great if Lee Cherry was doing a new free calendar. Or is it too late for one this year? Think it's way too late for a calendar for next year. Lee doing part of the album shoot? Or all of it? The Adam Lambert Fan Club has not been doing much, has it? I still haven't joined, and don't know if I should, are there really any benefits? Have they made any statements about Tresspassing? Is Adam active at all there? What say you all? |

OMG this is all SO frustrating! WHY? Why should any goverment must tell you what you 're allowed or not allowed to do with your personal life? And why would other people should tell you how to think or what to do with YOUR life? I know I'm not saying anything new here, I just want to scream right now... What drives me crazy is when a state has a vote on whether to allow gay marriage. The majority should never, ever be allowed to decide what rights the minority should be able to share with them. This is one of my favorite marriage equality signs:  |

I am glad that Adam tweeted about his thoughts on marriage this morning and happy that it's being discussed on ATop. I'm hoping that this candid discussion will help us understand each other better. I know that my own experience with marriage and divorce has knocked some of the more romantic notions about marriage completely out of my head. I used to think that a long term committed relationship would and should lead to marriage. I no longer believe that. I never thought Adam meant he planned to get married, but I suppose I was projecting my own thoughts onto Adam in the same way as someone who did think he planned to get married. This may not be very nice, but there are many reasons for Adam not to get married. Millions of them start with $ and one of them starts with D.  my sentiments exactly ;D We all look at various life events through the prism of our own experiences especially in regards to relationships and marriage. Honestly - all the fan talk about Adam's marriage, calling Sauli's parents "in laws",wishing for Adam to meet Sauli's family - all of this is somehow disturbing to me. The boys are happy and in love - this is all we need to know and care about IMO. The rest is merely projections of our individual pre-conceptions and desires... |

There are not really any benefits unless you already have friends there that you like to play with. There are a couple of dozen very active members that I enjoy playing with a lot. As far as the other promised benefits, ground (ctrl) has never done a very good job, and activities fell away to nothing after the end of the tour. As of now, people who renewed with the more expensive packages, where you got merch, have been waiting three months. The fan club seems to be caught up in the never-ending transition to DMG. I keep hoping things might happen pretty fast once DMG comes on the scene but who knows. They could just shut the place down and leave me with no way to contact my friends!  ETA: Supposedly there will be presales and M&Gs sold. I hope so. From what I have read about ground(ctrl)'s record with other fan clubs, they don't do a particularly good job. I know that Texas will not be early in the tour, so I'll have a chance to see how it's working out before I stake my whole happiness on a presale, or just bite the bullet and pay scalper's prices. |
