Wikipedia says there was an original cover featuring more of the dog: "The cover art features Bowie as a striking half-man, half-dog grotesque painted by Belgian artist Guy Peellaert. It was controversial as the full painting clearly showed the hybrid’s genitalia. Very few copies of this original cover made their way into circulation at the time of the album's release. According to the record-collector publication Goldmine price guides, these albums have been among the most expensive record collectibles of all time, as high as thousands of US dollars for a single copy. The genitalia were quickly airbrushed out for the 1974 LP’s gatefold sleeve, although the original artwork (and another rejected cover featuring Bowie in a sombrero cordobés holding onto a ravenous dog, an image captured by Terry O'Neill[9]) was included in subsequent Rykodisc/EMI re-issues." claire.nu/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/david_bowie_-_diamond_dogs-front.jpg(I could see how the Lambert boys might have found that creepy.) If it's one of the originals or a copy of that, would it fit the blobs better? Don't think it's this, but in case anyone is interested, I believe this is the uncensored DD cover: As for the third framed album, in the absence of more detail I still vote for DD ;D. We know how much he loves that cover I just think it would make the wall of honor! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.) Adam on DD cover to ABCnews: David Bowie, 'Diamond Dogs'
"Bowie's been a huge influence on me. ... I remember early on, my dad pulling out the 'Diamond Dogs' album, and the cover alone just grabbed my attention. I think I was probably around 12. And he was, you know, laying, it's like a painting of him kind of laying, half-dog, half-man. It was just the weirdest thing I had ever seen. I was fascinated by it."
more: abcnews.go.com/Nightline/Playlist/adam-lambert-favorite-albums/story?id=10076499#.Ttbh_fHBoy4(lol the first image of the cover I posted was HUGGGGEEEEE and then when i previewed my post all i could see was controversial doggy genitalia!! . Quickly resized pic. PHEW!)

The Grammy Nominations are on TV now. It's the one hour performance show. If Glam Nation gets a nom we won't know until the list is posted on their site, like last year. It is not one of the Top 5 categories. I was just going to link to last year's thread, when we first found out about the nom, but it won't open for me. That was such a fun night and I have reread that thread several times since.

Here you go, Chunkey: JohnKearns John Kearns @adamlambert great working with you at the MTV EMA - will help to make Trespassing the huge record it deserves to beWell ...now more speculation. Does that mean he likes the single Trespassing...or the album Trespassing? Not sure of the music lingo on the word "record". If the single...then his enthusiasm may not be right off the mark...on the other hand... to make Trespassing single blow-up ...plug the first release as well. Just so exciting to read of his enthusiasm!!!! PERIOD!!!EDIT: Isn't Kearns the one who did comment about he really liked a certain song and told Adam which one...???? "record" sounds like album to me.

OMG - you all have me laughing hysterically. Analyzing pics in Adam's house. I too am beginning to wonder about you all. Time for new album!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really??! Frankly, I am surprised not everyone is staring at this photo for hours. This is HIS HOUSE, his sanctuary, the most personal of places! I am so intrigued d by even the light fixture on the wall--not because he necessarily even likes it but because this is what he sees every day. I am thrilled that I get a glimpse of where he spends his ADAM time and that I can now begin to imagine him there. Just when you guys were making me feel normal for having a physical reaction to things like hearing Adam simply say the name "Sauli", I am back to being worried about myself again!! Just how deep is this rabbit hole I wonder!

Some were wondering if Sasha danced on X Factor tonight. From her tweet, a few hours ago, I would say "No." Sounds like she may have some injuries from the car accident. SashaMallorySasha Mallory Gorgeous in LA right now. Just took a core power yoga class. Hopefully I'll be back dancing really soon. Thankful for absolutely everythingYes you are right....I taped after I thought I saw Sasha...and just played back show tape. In another performance with Marcus I noted the dancer (same hairdo) was not Sasha. I paused and had a good look..for sure not her. So BABS...we were wrong...but it would have been nice to see Sasha making a few pennies (in a paying gig). EDIT: I know a few eyeballs will roll...but can't help who I am...I went back to his house pictures from when it belonged to the previous owner. Sure would like to figure out where that fireplace is in the house. Can't imagine that door being the main entrance??? Ah, too bad I busy the night I was invited to the pool party.

No seriously ... ;D ;D ;D Susie I understand where you are coming from with this, but IMO it doesn't fit in with the context of the other two covers. That's why Bowie makes more sense as it would complete the set of Adam's idols. I understand that the dog art is well known, but it is off base in light of the other two pics being music covers. LMAO!!!!! I was totally JOKING!!! The shading, green and triangular composition kept reminding me of it, but I did NOT think Adam would have a Dogs Playing Poker in his house unless it was a total tongue-in-cheek pop-culture comedy satire. They used to have Dogs Playing Pool and Dogs Playing Poker on the set of "Roseanne" back in the '80s and it was a running joke way back then.

The odds of Adam getting a vocal nomination this year are not too good because of the new categories...
This year's nominations will mark the newly trimmed Grammys. Earlier this year, amid some protests, the academy cut the number of categories from 109 to 78. Some of the more niche categories, like best Zydeco or Cajun music album, were eliminated. In addition, men and women will now compete together in vocal categories for pop, R&B and country, instead of having separate categories for each sex.
But I think he has a shot in the long form video category.

I'm anxiously excited or excitedly anxious, I'm not sure which! I'm sure I'm probably setting myself up. I'll throw the question out again -- what do you all think about Glam Nation's chances for a nom??? Is it a super long shot, or a reasonable hope?? ETA: Ah, Q3, there you are! Thanks for the info!!
