Oh, well. I sorta feel like that (GNT) was then, and this is now. Next time. I feel the same way.....it would have been nice, but I really think Adam is going to "EXPLODE" next year....and we're going to have lots of awards and nominations to squee about!  |

Adam is so "next!" He knows what is going to be next and he knows so much about Pop music trends. Skrillex got 5 nominations! I really think Adam is a genius in some ways. His social intelligence is off the charts, at genius level, IMO. And I think his musical and artistic instincts approach that level as well. He creates his art with a synthesis of so many different elements -- his musical sensibility, his visual awareness, and his social and business instincts, which include an awareness of what people like - and what HE likes, what trends are developing, and how to combine all those elements into something new. Part of this skill is something he's learned to do, and part of it is innate. But it's impressive. Don't mind me, I'm just rambling words off the top of my head. But that's kind of how it feels to me. YES! So many times I watch him and think, "how does he know just the right way to present the song or himself". The EMAs were an example of this inate ability to ---OMG did I just sound like Paula?--to know how to not only sing every note with emotion, but to do it with the perfect balance of himself and Freddie. I've never even seen him slightly slip up in an interview even. How does he do EVERYTHING right? |

YEPS!!!! I noticed that too. 2013, BITCHES!!!! (Holy crap, that sounds sooo far away, but then again, I started naming files and have already created my whole 2012 calendar at work, so there you go.) Time marches on. Hopefully, to the tune of some funked-up sex music, skrillexy beats with fuck-awesome vocals, insane videos, an off-the-charts, sold out tour and radio play up the wazoo in the coming year!!!!    I want him to get nominated for 2 years in a row. Next year for the album, a single, and vocal. Then the following year for another single and vocal. I want people on Twitter to say, "Didn't he get nominated for this album last year too?!" ;D (Like I was screaming about for 2 years with Lady Antebellum!) I'm down with that!! As it should be. Adele has only released two singles off of "21" in almost a whole year. Ofc, she's a different case – loooong shelf lives for singles and crazy album sales. I hope he has at least four singles – Jan, Mar/April (album drop time), Summer and maybe the fourth (or fifth??) is being released around Black Friday, so he'll perform that at nomination concert. Those released in fall (so after Sept. 30) would be eligible for 2014 (EEK!!) Let's get this "Trespassing" show on the ROAD!!! |

He isn't so absorbed in himself, say like Adam Levine, that he doesn't go out and research new music and listen to new trends. He said recently, that he goes to i-Tune every Tuesday to see what's new! That is beyond smart! Your post is Fuckin Perfect!<< (PINK got a nomination!) He has such an expansive curiosity about everything -- people, art, music, life. And he takes it all in and...~does incredible things with it. I'm in awe. |

I'm not on Twitter, but I'd love for certain people on MJs (where I rarely go anymore, but still...)and elsewhere to eat their words or at least exhibit a certain level of butthurt, lol. And I hate that word and all the stupid fandom hostilities and nastiness, but yet...there is an immature child inside of me who just now said "fuckity fuck" when he wasn't nominated and who screamed "fuck America!!!" when he lost Idol, and who couldn't bear to read the threads at MJs after the 2009 AMAs. And that childish part of my psyche would be pleased with the ~butthurt. Even though certain people would continue to find a negative way to spin things and claim that the Grammys, Rolling Stone, the AMAs, Billboard, whatever, have no 'credibility'. Eh, whatever, I'm boring myself now. All of this doesn't really matter. Never mind, I don't need to see butthurt, lol. What does matter is that next year is going to be amazing!!! Stars are aligning... |
