I had the same reaction. How can it possibly live up to this kind of hype? What if I don't really care for it? Then, I told myself it doesn't matter if I love it. What is important is for this to be a smash, break-out, career elevating single that brings all the radio peeps onboard, and wins over lots of new fans who will buy the new album, and kick the GNT DVD to gold and FYE to platinum. So that Adam will make much more music in the future that will thrill me and move me. Cassie: I had the same thought. How can he live up to all this hype.? It's like he is the second coming of a king. It does make me nervous . FOr me, I know I'll love it as well as most on this board, but what about new listening fans. His desciption of S & M might have already turned off new fans. I don't know. I'm worried but we'll just have to go with the flow. Keeping fingers crossed don't worry... those who follow him or would pay attention to any news about Adam wouldn't get turned off, and the real pearl clutchers have been gone since AMAs (thank god for that)...(the CLos"F*ck you" song was a hit despite anything after all ) and lets face it - "Hype" is better than "No Hype" - right? |

Yay Adam music!
I actually don't think we'll have to wait until New Years to hear the song. My guess would be that it will be premiered in the next couple of weeks, before Christmas - so that people can buy it on iTunes as a present for Xmas. This is what I'd do if I were them.
Also, just because we'll get to hear the song before the end of the year, does not mean - I think - that it will be on radio before then. It's entirely possible the radio adds date is still in January. December is swamped with Xmas music on radio.
So my guess would be:
1. premiere the song in a couple of weeks exclusively on some entertainment website,
2. make it available for purchase on iTunes a little later,
3. adds date in January.
Oh, and maybe 2.5: perform it on New Year's Eve.
