???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? YUP
@mys*&@^#r: Why just market to the existing fanbase? Good point. I don't think I have a good answer. Just think that if Sony would perceive this 'insider' as a threat to their very tight-lipped handling of the whole release, then they would have shut him down by now and they clearly have not. So that is why I think he is operating with permission. Whether it was planned or not and how much Adam is behind this, who knows. I think that you all are probably right and he is either directly or indirectly behind this.
I think that beyond the fan base you can only use the usual tactics (TV performances, classic marketing, radio promotion, etc..). On the question blog vs twitter use to spread the rumors. IDF reaches only fanbase, twitter reaches much more folks and the media would start talking / writing. If you want to avoid press reports PRIOR to the "release of the press release", then going with IDF works. Just my impression. But why you would want that strategy - that is the million dollar question?
And anyways - where is Adam hiding, given that he clearly had no time for the Trevor Project event? This whole roll-out to radio right before Xmas freeze is still baffling me on so many levels. It is everything that we said would never happen.
How many question marks can one have in one's head or one post all at the same time? ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? This many.

www.hot995.com/pages/toby.html?article=9471965#ixzz1fgujlfS6Toby KnappSo... here's what I can tell you about the new ADAM LAMBERT song... It's mid-tempo. It really showcases his vocal ability. I heard it over the phone earlier today, and if you're expecting more of a club banger, this won't be it. Think WDYWFM and not IF I HAD YOU. It's really well done and radio types will say that we need a listen or two before we decide where it should live on stations across the country. The thing is that the song really -- really -- does show off his singing ability. He's got a voice. He's not screaming, or wailing... he is showing the world he can really sing on this song. The label asked me not to say the name of the single and they've asked me to not speculate on release date since the plans are literally changing daily at times. That being said, it should be out via digital release before Christmas, and I bet that in addition to Adam's tweets, you'll see official news from the label about the new CD and single from the label in the coming days.

Went to look for info about the Trevor Live event, such an important organization. Was very impressed with IMAGINE sung by KA so here is a YT if anyone is interested...the words especially powerful in this season. Wishing everyone Peace, Love, and more wonderful Adam music! youtu.be/cJWnIzTXQ5sI saw one or two tweets on twitter last night that I hoped got shot down. Along the lines of "we won't watch if Adam's not on". Pfft I guess that was someone who didn't support the cause.

Maybe he got to review a different single? Maybe they are checking different singles for different markets?

"The label asked me not to say the name of the single" Why on earth? NO SHIT! I THOUGHT WE AT LEAST KNEW THE NAME OF THE SINGLE!! OMG, I am laughing so hard right now. I need to get a grip. I was just dying to hear what this guy had to say, and it really was not worth getting all that excited about, lol. "It's really well done and radio types will say that we need a listen or two before we decide where it should live on stations across the country." More WWFM than IIHY?? Makes sense if you consider what the song originally sounded like...but this REALLY makes the Glamazon poster sound off-base. Could two people (Toby and Glamazon) really describe the song in such vastly different ways? It is gonna be so much fun to hear this song for ourselves and then reflect back on the pre-buzz to see how different people articulate their response to the same piece of music! BRING IT ON, ADAM! ;D OH, and Lambo, saw you de-lurk last night?)...lol to testosterone comment... WELCOME! Testosterone/estrogen...we don't need no stinkin' distinctions--WE'VE GOT ADAM! Whatever flavor your hormones, he's gonna stir them up, and they're gonna RAGE! (in a GOOD way, oc)

Isn't this pretty much what we already knew? Mid-tempo and voice is out in front. I don't read much into not saying the name, as it falls into the "everything secret" scenario. The only question is when.

This is interesting. It really doesn't fit the description of that glamazon person. I got the impression from him and a few other tweets that the song is more uptempo and clubby. But ... I guess we'll see. I like this part: " The thing is that the song really -- really -- does show off his singing ability. He's got a voice. He's not screaming, or wailing... he is showing the world he can really sing on this song." And this: " It's really well done and radio types will say that we need a listen or two before we decide where it should live on stations across the country. " A thoughtful assessment, not OTT.
