Except I think if you throw everything Glamazon at IDF said into the trash where it belongs, it all fits together just fine, with some wiggle room for differences in how people perceive tempo. Not that your idea wouldn't be a fun one! But it unfortunately doesn't take into account the reality that splitting promotion efforts (and money!) between two songs in today's modern radio environment would probably not be a smart business decision. And Adam is a smart businessman. Not necessarily. When the accoustic WWFM was released if stations spun it instead of the regular version it still counted as spins for WWFM. Took a few days for mediabase to catch up but the same goes for remixes. If a station spins a remix it still counts as spins for that song. So if they did different versions of BTIKM it is possible that they could all count for the same song as far as radio spins. Now I don't know if that would be the same for sales but we're just talking radio here. Look at what he did with Aftermath. Album version is rock anthem then he did accoustic version then he did dance remix. Same song different versions. That's kind of what I'm talking about. Since Joe R. has taken over pop-rock promo at RCA do not worry about airplay. He is as good as it gets at getting airplay for artists. I honestly believe if he was running the promo for WWFM, it would have hit #5 on Top 40. He is that good.

Hey all - had fun just now reading all the banter about Toby Knapp's tweet and blog. Lots of assumptions made on very little fact. I have listened to Toby's drive time show on hot 99.5 for a couple of years now and have talked to him on the phone several times. Also exchanged texts and emails and he played WWFM several times on request during the evening drive. His station, however, is not a big Adam supporter. The morning show, Kane, does not like Adam, or Glamberts, at all. Rarely ever played WWFM and IIHY even less. Toby, however, is a big Idol supporter and has attended the finals several times, done interviews, etc. He has always been an Adam supporter, but it is hard to see that because of the limited play on his station. I think that he likes the song, loves Adam's voice, and is protecting his information because he wants to maintain his relationships with the RCA radio promo guys. I wouldn't read anything else into what he said. It will be very interesting to see what he says once the song is officially released. I hate to see all the negative posts about him from people who don't know him at all. He seems like a good guy to me. That's all. Agree with everything you wrote about Toby, I want to add a bit about Kane -- I have talked to Kane a bit, He likes Adam, but not his singles as much, And he does not have anything against Adam fans -- just against the rabid OTT Glamberts who crowded out his listeners requesting WWFM and were not listening to his show. That's good to hear about Kane. I can understand where he is coming from. I can remember watching the live-cast of Club Kane and him getting inundated by the "rabid" fans relentless requests and you know they never listen to the station. It was a little teeny bit embarassing. THis will be fun to see how it all unfolds when the new single comes out :-)

It was more than a little embarrassing when Kane asked callers who requested WWFM what station they were listening to and they did not know.
I made one of my few phone requests to Kane when actually listening to the show and he was surprised that I requested WWFM and knew the station I was listening to, and could ID the songs that he played. In other words, I was actually listening.

@maggie_Klaus Former Days' Insider turned stand-up comedian. International party girl with great hair. www.nbc.com/days-of-our-lives/insider/days-insider/Deets: @adamlambert had margaritas on the rocks, HIGH hair, black skinny jeans, gorgeous eye makeup, shoulder-padded blazer. Smiles a lot. You all have excellent taste in singers! @adamlambert was very easy on the eyes in person and we both LOVE #Malo in Silverlake!

Re: NAL singing...well, anything. The truth is, for some of us, Adam didn't only break AI, he broke everything. I come from a working class family. As a kid I rarely had candy, cuz it was not a necessary food item. And, more rarely had chocolate. That was an indulgence. At Halloween when I got a Hershey's chocolate bar in my bag it was a divine treat. Nestles Crunch, yummy. Snickers, to die for. Not until I was an adult did I ever taste Godiva or Lindt chocolate. OMG! There was no going back. Not that I will turn down a snickers bar, mind you. Tastes good. But everything else just pales in comparison to fine chocolates. KA and most other Idol and pop singers... well some other pop singers ... were fine, were good until I heard AFL. Now, I am pretty much "Meh" about most everyone else. Adam really is in a different league to everyone else out there. It is not fair to compare other voices to adam's. Unless they are singing the same song, I can usually avoid doing so. Still, when I listen to someone else singing I soon stop and ask myself, "why are you not eating a Lindt truffle? Why are you wasting calories on snickers?" i quickly revert back to my Adam playlists. You know me. I could go on and on about why adam's voice is so extraordinary, but, I will refrain here. Just wanted to say that NAL applies to many singers these days. It is not a criticism of them. It is just a fact. Hershey's is not Godiva. Oooh, Cassie, comparing two of my very favorite things, Adam and GOOD chocolate. I couldn't agree more, big fan on Lindt chocolate
