50 years of Queen
2.1.21 by Q3
It is always hard to know what date to use for the formation of Queen. Brian, Roger, and Freddie were together in 1970 in Smile and the name was changed to Queen on 27 July 1970. But John Deacon did not join the band until February or March 1971. (You will see both dates because he auditioned in February and was hired by the band as their bassist on March 1, 1971.)
So, the latest possible date for 50 years of Queen is March 1, 2021. It is an astounding thing. Very few things last 50 years.
There are a few band who have lasted longer and continued to be a huge draw: Rolling Stones (59 years, 1962), The Who (57 years 1964), and Aerosmith (51 years, 1970). One could argue that the Beach Boys are still touring but Brian Wilson would not agree, so I say no, they're done. And Vanilla Fudge and Jay and the Americans are both mostly intact and still touring but not in the same league.
I think it is hard to image the reinvigoration of Queen could have happened without Adam. The great music would have still been there but the live concert events would probably be over.
Adam has achieved many, many things and will certainly continue on but one of his greatest achievements is QAL and helping to keep Queen alive.

They're one of the greatest bands in history, formed when four guys by the names of Brian, Roger, John and Freddie got together and created some of the best songs in existence. #9Today
