OT, a bit of info about our Independence Day in wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_%28Finland%29Even more OT, as I was reading about the reception and news in Iltasanomat... We have presidential elections coming up and one of the candidates, Member of the Parliament and ex-minister Pekka Haavisto lives in a registered partnership with Nexar Antonio Flores (he's from Ecuador originally). They met in Columbia and have been living together well over 10 years now. Finland reminds me of Ancient Greece . A small country with brave people who are not afraid to stand up in front of giants. Thank you zinnia!  If this candidate is the right one for Finland I hope he wins. :D And Happy Independence Day for all you Finnish friends! :D I doubt if he will win, but it's just interesting. And their story is too - they met at a gay bar party in Colombia and the Ecuadorian guy fell in love with the Finnish guy's blue eyes LOL. About independence day - like Cattibrie mentioned we often call it with humour "itsepäisyyspäivä" = stubborness day for those historical reasons, independece is "itsenäisyys" in Finnish. Everybody's at home, it's a national holiday today. And thank you guys for celebrating the day with us  . Finland is quite a young country and many of us have grandfathers or greatgrandfathers who fought in the wars. It's a day to remember them and what they did for us. |

adamme - Love your avi. Every time I scroll thru pages, Adam waves at me! I feel the single will be not be released before Tuesday because that is the end of Mercury in Retrograde and you all know how Adam is. Bad idea to make big business deals before the 13th.hmmm... I'd totally forgotten about the Mercury/retrograde stuff. You could be right!!!  |

Thank you all for remembering us on Bert/Finlands Independence Day. There is a very beautiful hymn “Finlandia Hymn” connected to our independe struggle. It makes us cry, when we hear it. eri9 babe .... just checked in here before going to bed and your post just made me  I lurve me some random #berting in the least imaginable places. Am I projecting much, if I say Adam is rapidly becoming a known household name here. Aaaaarrrrgh! I've just watched EMA's "The Director's Cut" 5 times in a row on my computer. And now, Im going upstairs to bed to watch the 'other' version that I burnt to DVD... for MY entertainment. Is an intervention necessary? Catch y'all tomorrow Atop

I was out of town yesterday and offline, and just catching up on yesterday’s thread. Wow 37 pages  Someone asked for this "smiley" earlier today... Considering the state of mind of many here today, maybe Q3 needs to add it to the regular list:  As for me, I'm in the Rose Colored gang. I think things are going to be great. I like the Snap out of it smiley. I like this one too for when things get to OTT!  'Tho I'll fully admit I tend to go back and forth myself.....  I'm wanna be on Team Rose Coloured Glasses too.  I have a rose-coloured glasses icon for the girls too.  |
