Happy Independence Day to all the Finberts. My grandpa fought in WW1 over there. I have a totally OT question for you guys or any Eastern Europeans. I'm baking Christmas cookies today and am looking for a recipe. My grandma's old one just doesn't come out the way I want them to. In Hungarian they're called kiffles(sp). They're little pastries filled with apricot, prune (lekvar) or poppy seed filling. I'm trying a new recipe today, and I'll see how it turns out. Anyone have a family recipe for these pastries. I'm using this recipe. Here's a link with a picture. www.mygourmetconnection.com/recipes/baking-desserts/cookies/hungarian-kiffles.php Sugaree, I'll PM you with mine. I make them every year. My Hungarian grandma churned these out by the hundreds every year--and hers--unlike mine-- were of a uniform size. She used a walnut filling as well as the ones you mentioned. included nut filling recipe, too.

Also, Bobo, thank you for posting those YTs of the song Finlandia. I'm in love with the version from Nightwish and now I'm listening to more of their music instead of getting ready for work... Nightwish released a new album called Imaginaerum last week. There are many good songs too. ETA: The first single from it is Nightwish - Storytime

I obviously lack anything better to do, but isn’t this already like the fourth photo that has that same wall on it? ;D LOL, yeah - we've seen that same wall many many times during this year. Looks like Lee Cherry's work to me.

Deets: @adamlambert had margaritas on the rocks, HIGH hair, black skinny jeans, gorgeous eye makeup, shoulder-padded blazer. Smiles a lot. 15 minutes ago
My favorite is the "smiles a lot" line.

Hello friends. I apologize for pimping myself but could you do me a favour, please? Today I've created Adam Lambert's Advent calendar but it seems like it doesn't work For me it does. So I'll post the link here and please, any of you, try to click on window number 1. Please, help me to fix the problem. Thank you very much in advance. www.advientos.com/destinatarios-publico.php?codigo=6012-2455
