I'm so impressed by those talented guys doing Adam's song for Adam's birthday! What a great tribute! Tyler is so multi-talented and has such a great voice and Neil is amazing too!! Such sweet guys! Regarding the Super Bowl, I'm like someone else that commented earlier. At the beginning, I didn't really care who won but shortly after it started, I started to care a lot! I wanted the Bucs and the amazing Tom Brady to win! I'm so happy for his exceptional ability and for the genuinely nice guy that he is! I thought the halftime show deserved a C. To me, it felt like less of a football halftime and more like a regular performance that was just average at best. I'm sorry to hear that The Weekend spent so much of his own money on that show, although I'm sure he had no trouble affording it! Ha!! I'm so totally spoiled when it comes to performances -- there's just no one that even comes close to Adam's ! I try so hard to be objective but Adam is an impossible act to follow!

I was pulling for Brady too only because of his story and what he represented.
Watching the halftime show for me only highlighted how radio has such an impact on who gets to the top of the charts with massive radio play and on the major Spotify playlists. How much talent is being overlooked because they are not getting spins 24/7 if hardly at all? Too bad they feel the need to give only some the massive exposure instead of spreading it around some and allowing some other talent to become better known or to compete. Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake have no problems getting a ton of radio exposure and on big streaming playlists, thanks to their labels, but put on live SB shows that were less than impressive. Timberlake had a large number of dancers to dance with but his show was boring. Well I guess Morgan Wallen is ruled out for next year but my bet is on a country artist getting it next.

For a number of artists, getting the SB gig has been more an curse than a blessing. They seem to get a lot of criticism that overshadows their efforts. The Weeknd seems like a good guy who broke through and became huge. And yes, lurleene, radio play makes all the difference. It's not about "the music" all the time. I remember when Maroon 5 did it a bit ago, and a lot of people complained about the performance of "Adam LAMBERT." LOL I have nothing against Levine, BTW. Justin T is ok. Would to see QAL or even better, Adam as a solo, but he doesn't get radio play, so there you go.
Sometimes, I wish they'd just go back to marching bands.
