Lol I just have to tell that when I was really over excitedly showing my brother that amazing EMA performance, my other brother (12 years old) came to the room and watched for a while, then really genuinely and sweetly asked: why does this band have such a young singer when the other guys are so old? That cracked me up. You know what?! I was watching the EMA performance in the evening (again... 8-) ) and my middle daughter, who is 10 years old, asked exactly the same! I'm reading your post and giggling here...

Got back from Christmas shopping and have finally read through the thread. All the Queen/Lambert press!!! WOWZAS!! May I say that I think it's fabulous! The only thing which has ever made a dent in MY son's Adam aversion, has been Adam's connection with Queen. He'll be impressed....and maybe he'll listen to Adam's new music. On a sidenote: I'm embarrassed to admit that I'd never even heard of Paul Rodgers before you guys started talking about him and I'm 50 years old!....hehe. I was raised on.... wait for it......THE INK SPOTS, Lena Horne... and Elvis. My parents were kinda ancient when they had me. LOL! HAPPY BIRTHDAY zai746!!
....and happy to see you're back with us scearly.

Oh, mine just arrived. Yup, it's heavy duty, laminated, and the pics look good! I am happy. And, it was cheaper than the "free" one last year. Can we still order? If so, where do you see pics, etc. Check your PMs.

David Zurawik from The Baltimore Sun has made (on the 15th of May 2009, just discovered by me…) an interesting analysis of the phenomenon of Adam Lambert: Transgression and falsetto Lambert’s best performances embody that sense of transgression. (…) And this is where things get most interesting with Lambert. After the sexual revolution of the 1960s, there was hardly an aspect of heterosexual behavior or identity that was widely considered to be transgressive any more. But then came androgyny with Jagger, glitter and glam with Bowie — and whatever with Prince. Lambert channels all of that, and it is at the heart of what makes him so dynamic to watch onstage. He is a self-contained drama of identity reminiscent of the great Japanese actresses who with each pass of their hand-fans would assume a dramatically different identity. In the middle of sounding exactly like Steven Tyler on an Aerosmith song, he’ll suddenly soar into a falsetto scream somewhere up in the Holy Land of Patti LaBelle — and he’ll stand there looking contemptuously like he could hold the note forever if he wanted to. via AdamLambertyNewsDaily The above quotes are taken from Mr. Long's blog quoting a syndicated article by David Zurawik originally posted in The Baltimore Sun. I found what I believe is the content from the original article at Knoxville.com.
