WTF - another WDWFM? No flipping way!?!? Yeah that gave me pause. Even though WWFM was a hit for him, I really hate that song as it is on the CD/radio. Only can take it when it's live and mostly in it's acoustic version. But I think it's going to be different, knowing Adam. We know that he loves to mix and match, and evolve, so hoping with all hope that it's different. I want the song to be a hit for Adam, but I also want to LOVE this song, seeing as we won't hear the rest of the album till at least 3 months from now. |

I am wondering if they are comparing it so much to WWFM because it was Adam's big hit and they need something *familiar* to reference it's sound to....idk idk. I am hoping it's more modern, pop leaning then pop rock leaning.
And I sure hope he premieres the song on Ryan or Elvis or something. I want this to be CHR smash.

Oh good. Glad that we are hearing more DJs chime in again. Maybe they had another phone meeting today. This station is a Clear Channel, I think the last one was Cumulus so maybe they are having to hit all the biggies up before they can release it.

And 99.99% are screaming that Adam Lambert is joining Queen as their new frontman and going on tour, instead of being a "guest singer/guest frontman for a couple, several, a few one offs sometime in the future. Doesn't this make y'all just a teeny tiny bit uncomfortable? No? ok, just me then...  I'm thinking the next round of 110 headlines will be something like, "Roger Taylor denies that Adam Lambert is jointing Queen!!!" :  Since they announced the selection for the tribute band today what I was afraid of happening was that all the news was going to say he was passed over and left off of the band. IF *big* IF Adam is indeed doing some one off shows, I wonder if this announcement has had impact on not only moving the announcement date, but also the timing of what day Adam's single announcement is being made. Well the female guitarist reality is kinda cool. She opened a twitter account and the word is ..(as per alblogspot) the first links were to Adam, and the band mates. When you look at youtubes of the instumentalists Queen got for their tour, it shows there are some mightly fine musicians out there. Queen found them with a national search....as our ninjas' did not seem to come up with a "call out for try-outs" for Adam...one wonders the who and how of choices... and if they will do a bigger search for the actual tour versus promo. They must have been doing something to find this bass gal. I don't remember if anyone has posted a relationship chart showing how she might have known about that opening. Is she a friend of a friend? But then how did they find Isacc last year? I don't think we'll hear anything, lol. Instrumentalists must be more closed mouthed than co-writers and producers. |
